I remeber seeing a picture of them on a 350z on here. And we argured over what they were. As well as on another forums.
Well I hope this answers some questions

so thats how it is
space shuttle windows for your car! lol
Yeah i saw those while we were there. Deff pretty cool in person. I agree above though they have to get scratched up easily
its the same glass they use on space shuttle windows
you know how many times they reuse the shuttles and the windows are still good?
im pretty sure these will last awhile and be ok
The company has two cars they have had them on for a while....

yes, but the shuttle glass is purpose built (its supposed to keep the
astronauts safe period). Nobody enters the space shuttle into a car
show-and-shine to critique it with lower points because its windows
are slightly pitted. I'm pretty sure my ipod hardcase is made from
polycarbonate, and it looks like crap. Polycarbonate seems to do
the job... it doesn't look pretty doing it however. Maybe they refined
the formula for the rims (but I wouldn't be first in line to find out just
how well they hold up... let some other meatball put them through
their paces)

theyve been on the cars and daily driven for quite some time now
and if you ever see pics of the shuttle in space, when they are taking pics through the window and looking through it in videos, it doesnt look pitted at all

On top of that, its a space shuttle, things like pitted glass would make it fail inspection. If you ask me....
They even drove the one at Nopi from LA i think it was...right to the show.
But you dont see the space shuttle driving down the highway behind a dump truck, either...
i think theres worse things in the atmostphere an in outter space then a dump truck...think about all the lil particles in the air and in the world and out of this world...also....at 100000000000000000000000 mph....
there's different types of polycarbonate. i'm pretty sure they formulated it so it would have excellent look and strength potentials. they admitted themselves it took a few years of research to get the right thing.
i think it looks badass.

no you see it re-enter the atmosphere at ridiculous speeds creating more heat than man could muster himself
thats all tho
IF polycarbonate pits, it's shattering.
The polymer structure is too structured and dense to flake or break without breaking completely. It's not glass.
If you guys knew about all the junk in space... it's durability would not be suspect.
And now for something completely different... Click the Minister.
you know when i hear carbonite i think of han solo frozen in carbonite in star wars lol
I think that would look bad ass on a bike, just look like the thing is floating there...
What would you clean them with tho?
Now we just need clear tires.........
N2O + Bolt-ons

I got pictures somewhere of them on a bike
Im looking for pictures for you^^
It kills me when i search google and see every body on other forums arguing over the 350z Pictures. I mean some of the guys are down right ass holes about the subject, and i just have to look back and laugh now that we can all see they were flat out wrong...

there is a prototype out for an airless tire that has a gap you can see through.
thats been out for a while. The gap isnt for show, its just the fact that its how the tire is designed...
Would look sick with clear rims, however, they are a combo, dubbed, "Tweels". You cant put the tire on any rim. Because they come like that
