Well, as I said before, the Dakota was crap. I went and looked at this puppy today... It's a gem. Only 74k on the odometer; CD, 4x4, V6, auto, BLACK... Immaculate. New tires, battery, brakes. This is the truck I wanted in high school, and could now actually have.
Well, the dealer I was at (Decormier Nissan in Manchester, CT) was absolultely fabulous. The sales person didn't sell me anything, just did everything I asked him to. They got me financed (which is surprising considering the vehicle's age), and got me in at payments about $60 lower than I expected. So, I drove off with it this afternoon.
Now the only problem is convincing the wife that I'm going to be the one to drive it. She wants it just as bad as I do. Her dad had two Pathfinders before, and she's in love with them. SO WISH ME LUCK!!
I'll try to get some pics posted soon. I can't find my digital camera, and my camera phone wouldn't do it justice. This thing is so clean, you'd swear it were only a year or two old...

glad you got what BOTH of you wanted.

you know, i love when people like to criticize others about their behavior,
but turn around and do the same freaking thing months later...
When I first bought my 1997 Pathfinder is was just going to be my winter beater do to the higher mileage it has. It has since turned into my daily driver.
Two things, the gas mileage is pretty bad, and it has no power. Other then that, it is a nice ride.
**there is only one true love in my life... and my girlfriend has learned to live with it**
Actually, when you compare it to the fact that I've had nothing but 4cyl cars up until now, I"m pleased with the power. Neither my wife or I are very agressive drivers (for the most part...
) , so the power is where we need it.
As for pics, still haven't taken any... But the website is
CLICK ME! still showing the pics. Just search for the 1997 Pathfinder. The only difference is now it's been fully detailed and has brand new tires... Still raised white letter, though.
Jenn's driving this one as her daily... Don't even get me started about that. I'm still not too happy about it, but what can you do? I'm thinking that as soon as I get a better job and am making a little more money, I might take a loss on the Elantra and trade in for a newer Xterra. I love the Pathfinder, but the newer ones went more luxury, while the Xterra stayed true to the concept.

KG, Thanks for linking to those pics. I appreciate that. And, yeah, I can't believe how clean it is. You'd swear this truck was newer than my Hyundai. The only thing that's really showing any age is the ash tray. The cover has a crack in it. Other that that, the Pathfinder looks a lot newer than it is.
