Has anyone gone on Pontiac.com, these actually look pretty nice esp the GT in silver, pity there is no supercharged model
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
it's been out here in canada since the cobalt ss 2.4L arrived...it's not bad, though it was named the pirsuit GT. Gauges are kinda cool..there white backgrounded during day and black at nite with red numbering.
When I was looking at cars I sat in one, didn't test drive it.
Just sitting in it, it feels alot better than a Cobalt. It seems to "fit together" better, and it seems more luxurious (for an economy car) than a Cobalt.
If I had to get an economy car, I would look into one. I'll wait for them to maybe make a GTP version though.
in canad it is called the pursuit... they came out the same time (-ish) as the cobalt... i looked into one cuz i didnt know they were gonna make a us version... i like the pursuit name better than G5 though... someone should make a CDM g5 lol
i looked at the silver one on the website and its great looking, my only disappointment is that theres no supercharged version, its also disappointing that this car slipped in under the radar so bad, theres little or no press for this car, its sure alot better than the ION thats for sure

They are pretty much like Cobalts on the inside cept for the gauges, and the Pontiac symbol on the steering wheel. The rear of the Pursuit GT coupe is way nicer. I love it.
And I do beleive that I spy a new front bumper cover.
I want one of these so bad. Almost bought one too, but I mustered up enough self controle to stop myself. Maybe I'll get one as a graduation present for myself in a few years.
i also want one but im waiting to see if they will come on a s/c version or if you can special order that motor package
maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow....... but some day
they probably wont be coming out with a s/c verson of it....just think the next revision of the cobalt wont have a s/c verson ether hehe

Actually, they should keep differences between the pirsuit(G5) and the cobalt..besides cosmetic looks a.k.a sunbird/sunfire vs. cavalier.
They should make the G5 turbo, and keep the cobalt s/c..just up the power. Sure the turbo will be the way to go on makeing easy numbers of power..but if you think about it, pontiac always appeared to be gm's performance division(besides the corvette)

You sure about the no s/c model? The other day I saw a "G5 GTP". Didn't even know they had those?
its prob a prototype or concept, the original rumor was that the GXP was going to have the turbo 2.0 motor, then ppl took that as assuming the 08 SS would have it too, but really we wont know for sure until early 07 whats in store for 08

i vomit at the thought of a 4 door car....
I think the pontiac grill flows better with the car than the chevy girll.

its a cobalt with a new insert in the top center of the bumper , sedan style tail lights(yes they look better) , and fake carbon fiber dash trim , rest is all cobalt , other than different emblems and wheels(which are better looking)
but yeah pontiac hasnt been advitersing them , which is stupid

HA!!..advertising, thats all i see here on the stations. Onestly, each day I see at least 2 ad's for the G5..but i think there trying to push the G5 more in canada
edge that is prob true , here just north of the southern US border
i dont see squat about the G5's
the pontiac dealers didnt even know about them when they were first set to go to the dealers , it wasnt untill the dealer had 1 in transit that they even knew about the car , lol
