Introducing the 4G63 PRETZEL MAKER!!!
Tuesday, August 29, 2006 4:09 PM
So we had the Galant VR4 club meet this past weekend, and we pulled this out of one of the motors. Um, just a look into the future for those of you running massive amounts of boost on a 4G63. Yeah, they'll stand up to one helluva beating, but eventually, somethin' gonna break.

I tried to pull this right off our web site but it wouldn't let me so I had to save it to my desktop and then upload it here. That's why there's all the blank white space. I think we have some sort of picture theft feature on our web site or something. I suppose I could have posted the link to it but it's a long azz thread. Got some sweet pics of one of our member's EVO I, though. Rumor has it it's the only one in the US that's privately owned and street legal.

what happened to the piston? lol

It got mad. LOL. Actually, I believe that was teh result of a ton of boost and a whole lot of nitrous. I think the wrist pin let go. You can't see it on the picture but the wrist pin - which is still wedged in the rod - is all chewed up on one end - like it snapped.

Lol... It's one of the guys' wife. She was actually sitting down in a camp chair with her legs crossed - but yeah it looks kind of goofy I guess. Then again it could be Adam. That'd explain why he kept stumbling around the yard Friday night. Sure, he blamed it on the alcohol, but come on, I'd be walking goofy if my feet were like that, too! LOL

Edit:

Oh, as far as the "what happened to the piston". I honestly don't know. I went over to the house after I got off work and they handed me the rod - or what's left of it - and said "here, we have a present for you". Not like I wanted it. Makes a nice paperweight, though.

Here you go guys. I uploaded some pics of the EVO. I'll ask that nobody goes psycho and looks up the owner using the tags - I'm sure he would like to keep this car since it's a PITA to get one over here from Japan.

Like I said, this is - as far as we know - the only genuine Lancer Evolution I that is privately owned and street legal in the US.

I could beat it.. Someone get me some potatos to stick in his exhaust pipe and help me hook a 747 motor up to the roof of the Spec V.

Had to change sig because some dickhead is mad it went 1 letter over size

Yeah the Evo's a fricken rocket. You know that rollercoaster feeling you get when you go down a hill really fast? Yeah he gave me that feeling in the parking lot at the sushi bar. I can't even begin to tell you the bad things he did on the freeway.

Huh. Not sure. I've noticed lately, that pics just disappear for no apparent reason. Maybe the moderators deleted them?

Hey, I think I figured it out. If you upload pictures into your control panel and post them, then delete them from your file, then they will be deleted from any post you use those pictures in. I just reloaded them to see if it'd work and whatta ya know, they're back. Went ahead and blacked out the plates too.
