First off, when we got there is was not that busy. We went inside and first off i had to do a breathalizer test :lolg:  .
Then i had to sign some wavers and show them my drivers licencse, which they ran your driving record right then and there.
Then i stood in line and you could look at the cars you could choose to drive. The first car i chose to drive was the caddy CTS-V supercharged :worship:
Then you went outside to the track, beforehand i went up to the top of the stratosphere and this is what the track looks like from above.... the outside is the road course, and the middle is the hummer course.
So first off i get into the caddy and drive that....
This was the fastest car (horsepower wise) offered at this drive at around 450ish hp running 8 psi of boost, unfortunatly it handeled the cornors like @!#$ since it weights right around 5,000 pounds and does not have suspension like a corvette does. non the less it was a very nice car($78k pricetag) and would be a fun car to drive around town.
Then the fun car came
2006 6MT Blue Corvette Covertable.

This car was beautiful, i drove the car and it had only 500 miles on it, the clutch was very stiff and well the pictures do not do this car justice period.
The guy that rode with me was a @!#$ kick ass guy. The rules when driving are you get 2 laps per car so for your $10 you get 4 total laps on the road course. I got 4 laps alone in the vette the guy was that cool about it.
Starting off was the back straight away where i hardly had time to even get into second gear before i had to break and turn into the curves. The power gear in this vette is 2nd gear, which is the gear i had it in the entire lap after the back stright away. and if you look on the above picture after the SSSS turns on the back you come out of that corner and hammer it in second gear the back end almost comes out from you every time and you automaticcly spin the tires. This car is @!#$ amazing, and it was not even the Z06 and it had i believe just over 400hp. THe guy that rode with me in the corvette even gave me a free pass to come back on monday and he said if they were not busy i could drive it as much as i wanted to with him on monday. Honestly being in vegas for 8 days here(4 days left) i think is will be the highlight of the trip and is one of my best car memories of my life. if i lived in vegas i would be there multiple times a week what you get for the pice is unbeatable and everyone there is friendly and they dont care how you treat the cars as long as you are not an idiot and drop the clutch at 5k rpms and run off the track.
nice
the LS2 in the vette is 400hp/400tq and fun to drive
omg yes the corvette was a blast ill never forget it
its in las vegas right next to the sahara i am going back tomorrow morning before my plane leaves back to kc.
I drove those two cars when I was down there a few weeks ago too. I loved that vette. The funny thing is thats the same guy I drove with too.
That's a pretty big grin on your face

Doubt it would be any differnt with me! I guess I'll have to check that off on the list on why to go to Vegas. No part of me says "I have to go!" but my wife has been and says I have to go too. So that's another reason along with the SEMA show. Maybe this'll be the kick I need to go.......
Yup, it was fun. I didn't get many pics mainly because no one wanted to take pics with my cam (was there with my dad, brother, and brother in law). Oh man it was fun. I drove the Corvette (of course) but then the Saab mainly because I didn't want to wait 30+ minutes for the Caddy. It was already 120+ degrees outside. I wanted to do the off-road but didn't have enough time.

he also gave me a free pass which i get to go back tomorrow and drive it as much as i want if its not busy its going to be baller.
HOPEFULLY I WILL HAVE AN IN CAR VIDEO TOMORROW
One thing, the cts-v isnt supercharged. Has the same motor as the vette. STS-v has the 4.4L s/c engine. That is what you drove.
Test drive teh GTO.
