Well this weekend I started out to replace heavily worn rubber a arm bushings on the front of my fiero, 2 cans of pb blaster and a bottle of propane later, a lot of cursing, banging, hammering, I realized that I was not going to finish the project without ordering new parts. To ease my discouragement I decided that a full set of joints, Konis and coil overs were the solution to my little problem. Only question is to roll with the stockers or put my cavy rims to use which are collecting dust while i get some bugs worked out on the cavys new motor. What do you think? Fiero haters' need not reply thankyou

Those rims go with the car. I would keep them on there and buy new rims for your cav.

I agree with Rails, they actually look pretty good on the Fiero, and i'm not even a big fan of the wheels, lol.

How many steps to heaven, Doc?
...Ah, metaphysics.
i like the right wheels on a fiero...and those are too busy....i say go with a simpler 5 spoke wheel on the fiero...my friend's fiero has factory 95-99 Z wheels and they look really sharp
Paul I know what you mean about too busy, Im thinking about maybe trying to trade them for some 5 spoke 18s. Akbar its an 88 base trim coupe in great shape, soon to be better.
I replaced the steering rack in this car a month ago, I took it apart and was suprised to find out how much sand and dirt and crap was inside the housing, The pinion bearing holding the gear in place had blown out causing the steering to go really sloppy, the new one however is as smooth as glass compared to what it was before it broke. Im suprised the old one even worked at all! The car is overall very good shape, no rust except for under battery tray which is common, none in trunk or other places. Despite that almost 20 years of daily driving has accumlated a need for complete overhall of the suspenion, I think Ive' learned my lesson about older cars now, esp. when it comes to something which can easily cause a wreck like a broken ball joint or steering rack.
It had the original shocks on it, as well as brake discs. Amazingly the shocks worked fine until I cut them off with a grinding disc to get the control arms out.

A friend of mine is trying to rebuild one of these. You may get a lot of personal messages in the near future...
That engine bay looks AMAZING!
Is that the Iron Duke???
I know nothing about Fiero's, but the Tech 4 is errily familiar.
And my first comment still stands. Those wheels look awesome on the Fiero. I am all about the clean look too, trust me.

The Tech 4 was a redesign of the Iron Duke line, 2.5L. A lot of people still call them Dukes anyway.
I like the wheels too - I think the sharp edges go great on notchies whereas I'd go with a less flashy shape on a fastback. I got some 17" Mille Miglia MM-11 Plus's on my Fiero GT, put the Fiero's 15" gunmetal diamond spokes on the black Cavalier. Here's the Fiero and a photochop of some other black Cavalier. The wheels stick out more than this when actually on a J body and give it a much sportier and more aggressive stance.
My freind has an 88 yellow GT w/ built 3.4 and pro charger.
Im going to have the new suspension on in the next couple days hopefully. Ill post up some pics.
