Ok, what would you do in my situation?
When I had the old truck (two seater) I could justify having the GTP as it offered seating for 5 and lost of room for my stuff when I go away.
Now that the truck is gone and I have the Pathfinder, which has seating for five, loads of room and 4wd all in one vehicle, I just don't think I need the GTP anymore as it now has nothing to offer that the Pathfinder can't provide. Or does it?
The thing is, I really like that car. It is fun to drive, sharp looking (at least IMO), get better gas mileage then the Pathfinder. But the gas mileage could be canceled out by the $50 a month extra it adds to my insurance. I don't owe anything on it, so that's not a problem, but I just keeping thinking about what I could to with the money if I sold it. (of which there are several things right now)
So my question is...
Is it really worth keeping the GTP which has nothing to offer that the Pathfinder can't give me, just because I happen to really like it? Or am I just being greedy?

if its only 100$ a month, keep it. always good to have a spare car around.

i wish my GTP was supercharged
but KEEP IT! cause if you really like like it that much youll regret it if you sold it.
get a set of headers and catback for it , and a 3.4 pulley , and hp tuners or dhp
and enojy the car
So basically if you don't drive it, it only costs you $50 per month?
I say keep it.

Am I missing something?
GTP means supercharged, or am I taking crazy pills?
Gutty: keep it. Or sell it to me and throw in one of your children. I'm looking to dump the Alero
yeah, he's got a G6 GTP. kinda makes me sad they stole that nameplate. they should've at least put a blower on it.
and only the '97 and up GTP's are supercharged. the previous years just had the 3.4 DOHC engine, with the exception of one year that the turbo GTP came out. then in '05 they got rid of the GTP badge, so now the GT is supercharged and the GXP has the 5.3L V8. so, no more GTP in the car that made a name for it.
for $50 a month, keep the car. backups are nice. and who wants to drive around in a truck all the time?

it's not how fast you go, it's how you get there that counts.
ZZP XP cam, 1.6 rockers, 105# springs, speedbuilt FWI, 3.3" modular pulley, TOG headers,

Yeah, keep it. It would have a more refined ride for long distance trips. Atleast I hope it would be more refined then a truck's ride!

haha was he saying i was a he? look at my profile buddy
lol..its ok well at least im considered one of the guys lol.
and if youre not talking about me well i would just feel like a complete loser by making this post lol.
Don't keep it, sell it to me for cheap.
KEEP IT!!! You own nothing on it and it doesn't really cost you much to drive it. I always say its a bad thing to sell a car that you have paid off. If you sold it how much do you really think you could get for it?
"Remember do what you like because you have to drive it."--Me
and besides if you sell it youll spend it on something you really dont need too right now. if u keep it you can always sell it incase a rainy day comes along

keep the body, pull the engine, and promptly send that to me. The Fiero needs a new heart.
Seems like everyone thinks I should keep it.
Thing is, the GF is done school at the end of August, and if I sold the GTP I would money to go on one hell of a vacation for a while.
I mean, is a car that will last a few more years more important than memories that will last a lifetime?
PS. GAM, if you are really interested, make me an offer. I am in Kingston all the time, and Ottawa is not too far from there.

if you take care of it, that car will last way more than "a few more years". my '97's still kickin like a beast. you've got a good ten years left in her
i do see what you're sayin, but i just dont think i could ever cut down my vehicle collection to only a truck/suv. i'll always have a car

Sorry GAM, I don't have any kids to throw into the deal.
As far as a single truck/suv vs. single car. I would HAVE to go with a single truck/suv as I will never be without 4wd.

I say get a smaller blower pulley for it. That should revive your interest in the car.
