i figured since this isnt a jbody , maybe someone who visits this forum has any info i can use.
My neighbor's son has the taurus, and wants to pay me $150-200 to replace his oil pan. So, i said OK. Now the car is a V8. And according to him, he spoke to several mechanics and says that there is a motormount and something else i need to remove first before i can even drain the pan and remove it.
Sounds kinda weird in my oppinion. And i know its a messy job, but i really could use the extra money. So does anyone know for sure what he is talking about?
um there is no 91 taurus with a v8.......
so he has no @!#$ clue
Hrrrmmm, ok. well his info is wrong then. Ill update this as soon as i find out what it is.
yea the sho only had the DOHC engine, hell on my aurora i gotta pull the engine to change the oil pan gasket. but thank god i dont gotta do it anytime soon.

yeah the only years that had the v8 were i think 97 and 98 sho, everything else was a v6 or a 4 cyl,
if its the 3.8 if i remember right on the pos 91 i had, you should be able to drop the pan without removeing the rear mount, but im not posative, its been about 4 years since i owned mine, i do remember though if you do have to remove the rear mount its a pita to get to the bolts for it
