silly question.......I am about to buy a car in the neighboring state....and don't see sales tax on the bill..........will i get hit with sales and excise tax when i register the car in my home state.....?

Yep! I had to pay $380 to get my cav registered because I bought it from Georgia.

but of course. you also need it inspected in your home state...regardless of its inspection status elsewhere.
