My sister just got a 99 bug. Ran great for the week that we had it, now the transmission wont shift into overdrive. Any suggestions?

Did you check the fluid? Service the tranny?
you can't check the fluid and there is no trans service
take it to a dealership
If it's the 2.0 then that's not an "overdrive" trans, per se, like American overdrive on/off ones. Yes, it will rev high on the highway - like 3k rpm at 68 mph or so.
I was happy when I heard my car ran 10s. Then I found out that was 0-60.
