Big Changes For Me
Wednesday, May 24, 2006 12:27 AM
Well my dad wants to get rid of his truck, and he wants my car. I just so happen to want his truck, so it works out nice.

I got a 2001 Grand Am GT1, its that crazy green that has a gold metallic to it, leather, nice stereo, magnaflow, intake and 18's. The car is just a nice clean look set off by simply adding the 18's. Anyways my dad wants it in the worst way.

He's got a 98' F-150 Off Road stepside, 32's, custom true duals with cats removed and o2 simulators, full K&N FIPK intake, TB spacer, headers, factory changer, 5.4L Triton, White, minty.

Gonna trade him straight up, and since I plan to play with the truck, I have canceled my deal on the 06 CBR 600RR and have decided to put my 01' F4i up for sale.

I wanna do a nice 3" lift, tonneau cover, HID conversion, and thats bout it. Oh and gotta do tint as well.

Kinda a big switch but I'm sick of the whole car and bike scene, I wanna have sum fun with a truck now.

btw. here is your HID solution. A) Xenarc X2010 B) X1010

and here is where you get it www.suvlights.com. talk to
Jen, and mention my name (Janusz - the dude from canada
that bought a set of his XP6054 HID headlights for his jeep)
... he's weary to ship to Canada, so it will help if you drop my
name.

btw. I'm still angry because someone didn't post pics yet !!!

It bothers me when I'm driving and a truck with super bright bulbs (much less HID's) has it's lights shining right in my eyes. Buncha douchebags, don't be one of them.

well I have a Jeep AND I have a Bi-xenon HID setup. I did
my research, and I purchased ONE of only two street
legal HID setups in the market today (the other is the
discontinued Xenarc X6054 system. Moreso, I had my
kit directed lightly more downwards to keep people on
the road safe. Here are some older snaps of my setup:

well it should bother you. get a street legal HID kit or just
surrender your license right now. Anyone with no regard
for other traffic doesn't deserve to drive.

Yep, I know about your system (you mentioned it some other time) and I have no problem with yours. You took the time and courtesy to make it road safe and courteous, and I'm sure everyone you drive around is unknowingly grateful for that.

And I agree with your last statement too.

Absolutely.... purchasing an HID kit for the sake of blinding traffic is
beyond REDNECK. It's those kind of people that made aftermarket
HID kits illegal in the first place.

My jeep doesn't blind traffic & the kit keeps me safe on highways
(if you ever drove a Cherokee at night you'd know the stock setup
is poor at best -- partially because of the stock wiring harness).
Having a kit that looks cool is just the icing on the cake.

If Gooooch wants HID, the xenarc X2010 is his only SAFE choice.
It's DOT approved, it uses an industry standard 4100 ds2 bulb,
and it retains use of your high beam via a silverstar bulb.
