beautiful car
is that car build on the same chasie as the C6 vette?
they are nice, but for $100,000 I can think of nicer cars
Yeah but if you had the money and loved cadillacs, you wouldnt dream of any other car.
Thats kinda what I was getting at. $100,000.00 for a 2 door 2 seater is a little steep IMO.

XLR-V pics.
IIRC, it's the same platform as the Corvette. Is the "-V" version comparable to the Z06 in the 'vette lineup?
Its comprable to the Z / 51 optioned cars suspension wise and has a supercharged Northstar engne.

Holy crap, 100 grand for that? The guy that runs a big time repair shop that fixed my car last year drives one of those!
Since the XLR has been out, I think I've seen only one on public streets (DFW area). So Id say for someone with enough money, the exclusivity probably makes it worth the gigantor price tag.

100 grand gets you a viper and a beater
both new
the ONLY reason its priced at 100k is because gm needs an "over the top" car that breaks the 100k barrier. notice, that the price is NOT 100,950, or 101,234, etc. its just plain jane 100,000. in my opinion, the car itself isn't worth in parts the 100k, its worth the exclusivity, and just the fact that its "100,000". i do think its hawt as hell though.

yeah but if GM can't build a quality vehicle for $11,000.....who in there right mind would gamble with a $100,000 car. Granted i'm sure they build the XLR's and even more so the "V" editions to the very finest standards, but why should you have to pay $40,000+ to get a quality GM vehicle. they should all be built like the Caddy's IMO.

Well the quality of a Cadillac VS. that of a Cavalier or Cobalt is very evident. Basicly you get what you pay for.

^For once this guy is right.
And although, the XLR-V is at $100K, it is still $20-25K cheaper then the M-B SL55. And although the MB is a beautiful looking car too, I rather have the quality of the Cadillac and the extra $25K in my pocket.

^ ^ ^ HEY !!!
buddy!
JK. Anyway thats exactly the thinking at GM too. Same thing the CTS-V & STS-V were built to do, take money from Mercedes and BMW. IMO they're doing a rather nice job of things.
