consider the cost of an H2, than consider the mind-boggling cost of tuning
it to 700hp, than consider you have a car that can be paced by an RSX-S,or
a cobalt SS at a fraction of the cost. Hell, a supercharged kenne bel Ford
Escape/ Mazda Tribute reaches 60mph in 5.9seconds (on 18s)

MUNICH, Germany — Those darn Germans have been watching Starsky & Hutch reruns again.
It wasn't enough that the tuner boys at Geiger Cars went and blowtorched any number
of American muscle cars, from the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 to the Dodge Viper. Now
they're messing with some serious American iron — the Hummer H2 — to give law-
enforcement officials over here a little comfort.
With tongue planted deeply in cheek, Geiger has created what it calls "the world's
fastest police Hummer," a 700-hp edition of the H2, complete with county sheriff's
livery.
Geiger hiked the displacement of the H2's V8 to 7.0 liters and fitted a belt-driven,
intercooled supercharger, as well as high-performance pistons, titanium connecting
rods and a precision-balanced crankshaft. The result is a serious boost in torque, to
667 pound-feet, with output climbing to
700 horsepower. Despite its massive size and
weight, the Geiger Hummer sprints from
zero to 60 mph in less than 6.5 seconds, with
its top speedelectronically
limited to 155 mph.
The Geiger Hummer rides on some fat rubber: Kumho 325/35R-28 tires mounted on massive
forged chrome wheels. Brakes have been upgraded and the suspension tweaked, with firmer
shocks, beefier stabilizer bars and a lower ride height all contributing to improved
ride control. For more information, visit
http://www.geigercars.de/.
What this means to you: The long arm of the law just got a bit wider, heavier and less
efficient.

hey how the hell did they get yosemitti sam next to that hummer....
Probably drop a second off the 0-60 time if you swap the 28's for 20's.
Which reminds me. Does anyone remember when 20's were the new thing? 28's crazy.

I'm not expert but the hummer H2 isn't what I'd consider serious American iron.
Wow take one of the biggest gas guzzzlers up the displacement and supercharge it all so it can do 0-60 in less than 6.5 sec. I wonder what the mpg on that thing is.
Go those rims are huge....needs a nice 18 with some hefty street tires. Id like to see some MT\R tires, but what good would that do when the cops are on the street.

Right but how much gear can you fit into either of those cars? And people? That should be fun for everyone when you make arrests trying to put them in a @!#$ rsx coupe. Guys this is a cop car and frankly i wish our cops had something with a little more speed. And hoesntly, as much as i hate Any hummber but the H1 or Alpha, id take that over any cobalt or rsx. Well, minus those @!#$ rims.
Sweet except for the Mega gay Dubs.
Yeah but for the price of one of these monsters you could have a small fleet of Cobalts or RSX's. This will be a tough one for police depts all over the US, one huge by giant monster truck or 20 cars ? Hmm, which way to go which way to go ?

I like big rims and you need more power to roll them

Thats not even over here. Its in germany. But yeah RSX's and Cobalts do not make good police cars.
I dont' think I would be cought dead doing 155MPH in that thing. if I was doing 155 I probebly would be dead. but nice hp none the less.
**changes are here**

Believe it or not but the Howard County police here in MD actualy do have 3 Cobalt SS 2 doors that I know of.
A red one a silver one and a blue one, all are unmarked and use for traffic enforcement. I know cause my dealership supplied them with the cars.

I belive that and i knew about that, i think it was you who warned MD people right? For that kind of work they are pefect. However, for what they can use this H2 for, they couldnt do with a Cobalt..ya know what i mean. All the gear the can carry, transporting people.
The can always use it as promotion and awareness, Much like Dare Cars.
YUP that were me!
Nfamous, Not sure if they're DARE cars or not. Its a posibility tho. But yeah stuffing bad guys into the back seat in cuffs may be difficult at best !

Here in VA Beach, we have at least one Police Hummer
I don't get why a police Hummer has to have 28's... lol

I suspect you'd be talking GPM statistics. (gallons per mile). FYI: An M1 Abrams Tank gets approximately 2 gallons per mile when travelling @ 50 Mph.
Jack: There are a couple of Cav's here in Ottawa that are used as prowlers. If they're ubiquitous and cheap, the municipality will buy them.
SPITfire: They're being asses.
It's one of the few emotions germans can show outside of gayness and beer induced rioting.

Gam, No surprise there the Balitome city police use 4 door Cavi's too. They also have a few Mustang's as well, of corse the 6 cyl versions so I really don't get the thinking.

Hey we got some Chargers too !! But from the looks of them I doubt they're Hemi cars. Not unless Dodge is putting Hemi's into base looking cars for the cops. Corse it wouldn't be the first time something like that was done.

Cops not idle thier cars ?!? What !?!? That would be like cops not eating donuts!
