My New Old Prelude

I thought I would post pics of what I ended up buying after my 04 cavvy got totaled. Its a 94 Prelude wiiiiiiith

DM H22A Motor and Transmission, Skunk2 Cam gears, AEM Cold Ait Intake, DC SPorts Headers, 5Zigen Catback Exhaust, Apexi V-AFCII vtec controller, JUN ECU, NGK Wires and plugs, Performance Stage 2 clutch, KYB AGX Adjustable Struts, Progress Lowering Springs, JDM Axles, Control Arms and JDM front brake conversion.

I got it off a 16 year old kid whos mom was fed up with too many speeding tickets. I payed a little over 7000 with it. theres about 172k on the car, and 55k on the motor. The kid somehow managed to bust up the front pretty good in the six months he owned the car.

VTAK YO

in memory of the poor black cavvy.

Anyway, its fast. really fast.
got to take it to a track and dyno to find out exactly how fast.

I kind of felt like a traitor buying it though :\

which part?? you got ripped because i see these things go for like 3k (stock) with under 100k miles all the time.
and its slow because i can almost gurantee this car wont break mid 14's if it even getsinto the 14's. i doubt it will.

I agree that I may have payed a little too much for it, but I think ripped is an overstatement at best.

as for the 14's im not even going to respond until I have timeslips. anyway, keep in mind I went from driving a CAVALIER to a PRELUDE. it feels pretty quick to me.

Hey lets see if you can be a little more of an ass hole.

I like it. Needs a little TLC and it will look sharp. I really like preludes a lot. Drew's on here is my favorite body style. I'd say the style like yours is my 2nd favorite. I know its pretty much the same except the lights. Looks good. What happen to the cav?

Thanks rabbit,
come tax return time im going to do something about that bumper, and get a new muffler or something, i kind of hate the one on there now as it is.

as for the cavy, an impala rearended me on the highway right into a 4 door explorer. it looked like a little black hamburger.

Not to be a dick... but I would have walked after his mom said "one to many speeding tickets"... you know that car has been thrashed

I was really surprised, i half expected it to explode or something a week after I got it, but ive owned it since early january and ive had no problems. .the tranny feels like a used car should feel with 55k on it.

The only thing ive had problems with is destroying my tires on these PA roads, the low profile tires dont stand much of a chance.

im not trying to be a dick, i believe you did get ripped.i mean it is a nice car (and thats comming from a guy that really doesnt like hondas at all) and yea its a HUGE step up from a cavalier. but you coulud have saved money if you got a cheap stock one and did your own thing.

I almost bought a prelude when I bought the camaro. I probably would have if I found a nice one I liked around here. Glad I didn't I love my camaro but I still like preludes a lot.

i use to have one, non vtec and it was auto and the thing was 10x faster then my 2.2 cav so i can see what he means when he says its fast since his is vtec and stick. paid too much for it tho but its a good car. mine got a hole in the oil pan around 120k right before i traded it in on my Z so check the car over carefully

Im out there Jerry and Im LOVIN EVERY MINUTE OF IT

I had two reasons for being comfortable with paying 7k for it

the first reason is, i am technically only paying 6k out of pocket for it. I got payed a lot more for my old cavalier than owed for it, so the grand or so of remainder went straight to this

the other reason is is that it has an H22A swap in it, with like i said, only 55k on it. in my mind, that, and all the other extras that were on there when i bought it, make it worth paying that little bit extra for.
