I'm thinking of getting one. Seriously.

i'd consider it if i was in the market for a under 15k car. it'd be a cold day in hell before i'd buy another american car for sure. if i was looking for another car it'd be a 2002 corolla or maybe a yaris. i need something reliable that'll hold up for a good 200,000 miles or so.

GO PATS!!!

My friend bought one. Picks up on Wednesday. I want to test drive it. I think the 07's look a lot better. Plus I like the idea of 40+ miles to the gallon, since gas prices suck.

that ION can't be that bad on gas....

Re: Yaris

Actually I find the Ion kinda hard on gas.. I'd expect the 2.2 to be a lot better, but I think because the car is heavy, it's killing the gas mileage some.. People keep telling me once the ecotec breaks in, I'll see better mileage.. But I dunno.

IT's supposed to be a great little car. I am looking for something a little sportier but if I decide on something more conservative this would be on my list. The only thing I don't like is the centre gauge cluster they say you get used to it but it just bugs me.

I actually get pretty good mileage with my Ion considering it's the 2.4 with automatic trans. I get about 27-28 mpg in the city. I haven't driven it on the highway yet.

Looks like an ugly chicks clown car. You'd think Toyota would've learned from the Echo's failure in the marketplace, a large chunk of it due to the center gaugepod and not put the gauges in the center again. Saturn was stupid for doing the same thing with the Ion.

I wouldn't mind one but in a world with Dodge Ram pick ups and any other large vehicle I'd be scared to death ! I mean come on the size of that thing there is no freaking way your walking away from an accident with anything bigger then a tricycle ! I get 40 mpg out of my Cavi and I don't hold my breath everytime a truck comes up behind me at a red light.

No thanks pass.

Well generaly for there to be a side impact where I'd get t-boned would mean I'd have to blow a stop sign or red light. Neither of which are something I EVER do. But yeah I've heard it can be bad.

whoa those pics made me REALLY REALLY liek the 4 door model.

saw the 2 door in person and it is just tOO small. those kits on that 4 door are hot!

but honestly i want to wait until they start making some diesel cars that are under 19k new. once they do that i will consider buying a new car. biod plus 50+mpg is what i want
