Hi guys,
Just doing a little research. Trying to gather opinions.
What would you rather drive?
A) black/black leather 2006 RSX Type-S with all options including the A-spec package (improved suspension, spoiler, and lip kit)
or
B) black/black leather 2006 Mustang GT
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm...def the stang, but thats just me, i look better in a big V8 then in a rsx.
basically its what your looking for. personally if there gonna be your daily driver i would take the rsx over the mustang. rsx is gonna be cheaper on gas and probably cheaper on insurance. plus you can still do your lil performance things to it and still get a decent amount out of it. now if i already had a daily driver i would take the mustang gt no problem. those things kick ass. Ive already had the pleasure of riding in a roush stage 2 mustang that runs 11s. basically its what you need out of a car. if gas prices and insurance payments is no biggy for you then take the mustang for sure.

if you want better gas mileage, the rsx
if that doesnt matter, mustang gt
also, if you are planning on driving this in bad weather, that might be a deciding factor too, as the mustang isnt that great in snow with its rwd

Yea personal preference really, if u can afford gas then the mustang. You prolly wont have that much more money to mod it if you want but it will always be faster than the rsx-s. Bolt ons for the new stangs can get them easily into the 12's in the 1/4. But hey if ur an Acura guy then go for the rsx-s, a good turbo set up could maybe get you into the 12's.

just gas alone id get rsx not much a fan of the 06's tho with no curves on headlights or tails, also a downgraded stereo. But you got that extra 10hp.
Thanks. This actually isnt or me. I've got a friend that bought an RSX-S, and after only two weeks of owning it, has changed his mind and decided he wants a mustang GT just so he can claim he has "american muscle". I think its major BS, and will end up costing him more in the end to switch cars like that. Anyway I just wanted to get some feedback about the two, and maybe a virtual slap upside the head for my friend.
I know the mustang is a FAST car, but I think the RSX is a lot nicer, and heck, he commited to it already. If he wanted a mustang he should have made up his mind before buying a car.

I'd definately go for the mustang, even if it were just for RWD.
However, If I was your friend, I'd suck it up and be proud of what I already have. I prefer the mustang, but not enough to justify the hit of trading a new vehicle in. Besides, they're both very nice cars; it isn't like he bought a 93 tempo.

mustang.... i like the rsx but the new mustang Gt's are very nice and much much quicker then a RSX type S
you would need to put down alot of power on a rsx to get into the 12's as its not a rwd car... i seen one with 280whp only get mid 13's and hes a good driver too then again a cobalt ss s/c with that much hp would be in the same range so think about it 24k for a new rsx plus 4k for a supercharger or turbo kit + $$$ for tuning and new PCM you over 30k right there just to get you to where the mustang is stock... doesnt sound like a good deal to me

Can damn near take it, so it can almost beat it? Still sounds like losing to me. What the hell is that, i would like to see some proof of your intake, HEADE(R) (only has one of em) and exhaust that can take a 06 Mustang GT. Fact of the matter is, it is personal preference, and if your friend is into modding, bolt ons would get you 12's (mustang) or high 13's low 14's (if you can shift like a motha in the RSX-S), his choice. If he can afford a new Mustang GT gas would not be a problem.

yeah damn near take it with upgrades. Stock vs stock the 05 gt is over a second faster than the RSX. I @!#$ hate Ford. And hoesntly i would never buy one no matter how much i like the new mustangs. But god damn 05 mustang vs rsx is not even a thought in my mind

Yes, you are the rare breed with an RSX aren't you. I never see 10 million of those modded on the way to work. In fact around here I see more RSX's then I do 06 Mustang GT's.
hmmm....looks, i love the RSX hands down. I dont like the looks of the stang. But performance id take the stang. How bout swap the stangs engine in to an rsx? Now we got something!
