Personally, I think it's the ugliest bike I've ever seen. Looks like Kawasaki is going back to their roots when it comes to asthetics....
The status display looks pretty hot though.
I will NEVER change my sig. HTML 4 EVA!!

Real cars don't make power at the front wheels......

That bike is SWEET.
My question is, are you bad-ass enough already to handle all that bike a s is? Most people with liter bikes aren't.
I'm not nearly badass enough yet to handle all that my 636 can give me.
---
how much did u end up paying for it?
Well there are your typical bad asses that say they can Handel anything. But this bike is no joke. It's scary fast for a stock production bike. I did not buy the bike its my fathers but i was able to take a ride on it. Same here i ride a 636 to. I recently sold my 02 black and gold zx-12. My father is a kawi person and so am i. The last bike that we built was back when he had his 2000 zx-12 that made 211rwhp N/A. He made a best past of 8.7s on that bike.

11,813 out the door.
Is it as easy to control as the 636? How is handling directly compare to a 636?
And 11,8 out the door. Sportbikes are the performance buy of the century. How many cars exist that can be daily drivers and run 9's in the quarter on the way to 200mph........... and cost less than 12 G's?
---
Its alot different than the 636. It's alot more comfortable. yes its easy to control, but if your not careful this thing will throw you right off. You can hear the intake sucking air threw sounds pretty cool.

SEXY as fawking @!#$! I love it!
Nice! Though, your father needs to delete that rear fender. I plan on doing it on my little Ninja 250R.

They may be the performance buy of the century, but they are certainly not the safest buy of the century

i would much rather have a little less power and much much better looks with any of the liter bikes. the power is impressive but the bike is juwst but ugly.
I view this bike as a beautiful woman wearing a not so flattering dress.
1.4L of sexy underneath that dress. I'll take it!
BTW, not that sportbikers don't like killer looking bikes, but usually performance is priority.

a guy at work's buddy bought a brand new one, cant remember what it was, but it was a 2006 and looked similar to that (his was silver)... damn it was sexy

i dont follow bikes much but when did the 1400 come out? last i know they had a 1200, wasnt aware they made a 1400. so the hayabusa 1300 isnt the king anymore?
when did they go back to that kinda tac also? i thought the 04+ had that digital tac?
1400 is crazy. be carefull man. my buddy has some bolt ons on his 2000 gsxr 750 and that thing flat @!#$in moves....i cant imagine something with double the size..
Kawi realesd the ZX-14s to the public about 2 weeks ago. My dad had a order in about 6 months ago.
Yes this is defentaily a busa killer. The zx-12s are still a good bike. I dont think my dad will ever sell his 2000 ZX-12 that he built the green one above a few post, he will probly will keep along with his other bikes.
A few months ago when testing Rickey gadson was able to take the zx-14 out stock and with mods.
2006 Kawasaki ZX14
mods-------slammed
no air filter
THATS IT!!!!
Stock pipes
stock gearing
87 octane pump gas
stock tires
ABSOLUTELY NO TRICKS
60ft ............... 1.56
330ft ............. 4.04
660ft ..............6.08 @ 120.90
1000ft ............7.85
1320ft 9.36 @ 147.71
remember this was achieved with stock gearing, most notable was 47 runs in one day with same clutch.
At one point they made 12 back to back runs, clutch is UNBELIEVABLE!!!
In the AMA Pro-Star series Street bike class rickey gadson with team muzzy on his 14 runs 8.4s @178MPH in the 1/4. With a completely stock motor. Full exhaust some spray, extended swing arm, air shifter some gearing and D.O.T approved tire.
Here some pics of it i took in Dayton at bike week.

Maybe if you like to just got in a straight line that bike would be the all out leader, but all the sport bike guys i know including me love to play in the twisties and at the track. Gimme a liter bike and it'll waste the 14 in the twisties. Thats where I have fun so I wouldnt sacrifice my looks just to go faster in a straight line.
