I have a question for you guys....

My fiance has a 94 civic with a turbo don't know what kind of engine but at this point that doesn't matter... a couple of months back someone broke into it to try to snatch his turbo timer and i think his air fuel thing (gotta love technical talk lol) anyway when they did that they pulled some wires apart and they couldn't get them out so they ran off with some odds and ends.. ANYWAY to get to the point ever since then his car has been acting funny after we re did the wires.... the car will just shut off down the road , but more than anything the lights and electronics shut off and then they just come back on again. We replaced the alternator and that wasn't it we don't think its the battery ( but my dad thinks a cell or two is bad in it) so whats left is a bad ground right? thats what we're guessing but i was posting here to see if anyone else had advice on to what could be wrong with it other than some bad wiring. any advice would help.

He doesn't have all those electronics spliced into one place does he?

I ran a few too many things off of a fuse tap once and had my gauges randomly resetting themselves/etc.

Its not the gauges themselves thats the problem, all of the lights electronics and the whole car shut off periodically. On a few times, the car itself wouldnt shut off and just the lights would. I dont know how the wires are ran so i cant really answer that question
