Here is are some spy shots of the 2007 Sliverado/Sierra interior. I bring it because it is very crucial for GM to survive as the these pick ups are their cash cow.
The unveiling of the pick-ups will happen at the Texas state fair in the fall.

Here is another crucial for GM the CTS as here luxury and sport will be more pronounced. Lately Cadillac is going full steam ahead.

no, the trucks and SUVs have different dash and door panels. even the gauge cluster is different which is quite surprising. Judging from spy pics the front ends are different too.

But I'm hoping to see a few of the trucks sitting at the plant before they debut them. I know they arent going to wait until fall to do the change overs, so they'll havr to start building them before it debuts.

^You may run into them, also if someone live in Texas they may catch them as well.

Make that 6 more ponies

These two vehicles are critical, one for GM's survival and the other for recognition and reputation.

I hear there's talk of another Caddy ubercar to possibly replace the XLR as the new flagship. Any truth to that?

^^^
The "ULS" GM’s ultra-luxury this RWD (sedan) was initially going launch the earliest in 2010 priced at about $100,000. But the concept is now frozen. Simply because it would be a niche vehicle and cars over $100K don't sell to well. And since it does not, it would not be cost effective for GM right now to do it.
Also, many will criticise and say that people will not buy a $100K Cadillac. Well GM is using the XLR-V as a test bed for that notion. If it turns out positive, expect the "ULS" idea to be unfrozen.

Hey goodwrench.... there any similarity between the currect 2800 I4 in the colorado and the 2200? I think i remember seeing the sticker at the dealer saying it was OHV and was curious if there was any major relationship between the two.

6????? The ECOTEC is currently rated in the new Cobalt as 145 HP. 149 -145=4

But your right in that any improvement is still an improvement.

^^Read on current HHR rating...hence the cars that will get the boost in parentences.

Scarab,
No sir, the 2800 is a DOHC unit and it's based off the Vortec 4200 I-6, just with two less cylinders.
