The SLR is rocket ship fast already, so this type of performance was no surprise since the SLK chassis weighs in roughly 400lbs less then the SLR.

I just did some research..........
According to "Morpheus" on MBWorld he says that's a members twincharged (both superchargers) SLK that lives in Dubai or United Arab Emirates.
I don't exactly know how much that guy knows though. May be talking out of his ass!

I'm pretty sure I read an article about that SLK. It's an SLK with an SLR motor wedged into it.

I am sure the cut outs in his hood are because of the twin chargers.. I paused the video and there's def. something in the way of the hood

No chargers, just motor, i saw a bio on this car about a year back...
Same motor as the SLR which has the same motor as the Mclaren F1 supercar. All that is stuffed into the small enginebay and thus the cutouts in the hood make just a lil extra room...

That is the reason MB/AMG did not put in a S/C in the V8 version of the SLK55. It just does not fit. Hence here it shows the hood had to be cut.
The SLR's 5.4L is the same one found in the E55,SL55, CL55, S55, CLS55, the difference here McLaren/AMG worked-massaged it so the power output went from 469/492HP to go to 617HP.
All seriousness the SLR is is a beast yet it is more docile then the SL65. <<That is a monster from another solar system.
Now... Since the SLR is soooo hard to be serviced (selected MB dealers can touch them) and the car itself is fragile when it comes to service/maintenance work, I like that idea of a SLR engine in a lighter weight SLK.
Like Borsty says, it must be nice to have insane amount of money. Being it comes from Dubai, explains it all. lol
