well I love the TSX navi and have a deposit down on one that should be arriving soon...........but as gas prices are starting to soar with little hope of going down, I am toying with the idea of dumping the TSX and buying the civic hybrid with navi. I drive about 1200 miles a month so good mpg is nice.......but as the title says, which car would you go with.

tsx

Keep in mind the hybrids cost more than the typical gas versions.I would stay away from those since the sticker is about 3grand more and go with the normal gasoline engine tsx..
My secretarys daughter bought one and she is in love with it. 90% of her job is travel and she gets pretty good gas milage as well as its amazing ride. I would definitly stick with the TSX.
One thing you need to remeber is the price difference as well. If you travel 1200 miles a month, at say an average of 25MPG at 3.00 a gallon it would take 3 years to make up the price difference of the hybrid..and thats only if you didnt have to pay for any gas on the hybrid. And you do.
Just test drove a 6-speed TSX yesterday. Not the navi version though. Still, I'd take it hands down over the civic.

TSX or Civic?
Come on , do you seriously have to ask that question?
Duh, TSX.
TSX is leaps and bounds ahead of the Civic.
Hey guys. I was gonna get a Lexus is350, but with gas, I was thinking about an Aveo. Smart move?
Seriously, man, if have a choice, get the TSX. If you get the Civic, every day on the drive to work youll be thinking about how you wish you got the TSX. Of you got the TSX, the only time you wish you had gotten the Civic is when you pump gas. Sounds like a no brainer
I totaly agree with yall and feel that the TSX is the best car in terms of everything but fuel economy....and the TSX isn't terrible with that either............the civic hybrid is about 6-7 grand cheaper then my TSX.....but the only reason im thinking maybe civic hybrid is simply for the mpg.

first of all there are TONS of gvnmt junk to offfset initial cost
one VERY cool perk is u get to ride in carpool no matter how many passengers you have.
in CA we get to get free public parking as well.
you can get pretty hefty tax deductions on the initial purchase.
and while yes it will take 3-6 years to make back yoru investment on paper through saved gas.
however, u will be having an IMMEDIATE impact on how much gasoline is sold per car. and that is huge for the big picture. not to mention less emmisions.
if we are talkign abot looks though, tsx has got it.

poppy cock
there is proof out the wahzoo maintenance is not more.
seriously any bad press about hybrids was generated in the beginning and is now all myth that have been disproved.
regardless of wether u liek them or not.
personally though i would rather see more money by automakers going towards diesel models that can run on %100 bio

Im with borsty on the trans am.. forget the rice.... do domestic. what fun is a hybrid neways? how many mods can you really do to them to make them faster.. Just go with a nice juicy V8 muscle car and maybe get a 2000 civic for your commute.
1,200 miles a month isn't very much. I'm not sure why you would be THAT concerned about gas mileage. If you can afford the TSX, you should be able to afford the gas needed to consistently fill it up also. If you buy the TSX and can't afford the gas, then you really shouldn't be looking at that expensive of a car.
This was a odd comparo. lol
One thing though... you can get a nice hefty tax rebate if you get a hybrid.
