スズキ株式会社の米国販売子会社であるアメリカンスズキ社（American Suzuki Motor Corporation）は、4月14日から一般公開される「2006ニューヨーク国際オートショー」に中型クロスオーバーSUV「ＸＬ７」と小型スポーツクロスオーバー「ＳＸ４」を出展する。アメリカンスズキ社では、両車種を本年秋
謔阨ﾄ国市場で販売開始する計画で、これらのラインナップを揃えることにより、スズキブランド車の更なる拡販に努めて行く。
１） ＸＬ７ （エックスエルセブン）
「ＸＬ７」は、ミッドサイズ・クロスオーバーSUVの来るべき姿を表現した、滑らかで独特の先進的スタイリングや、居住空間と荷室の巧みな融合を実現した室内空間を持ち、「性能・スタイル・快適さ・安全性能の高い次
ｳでのコンビネーション」を実現した7人乗りの中型クロスオーバーSUVである。
車両の生産は、スズキと米 ゼネラル モーターズ（GM）社の、自動車生産の合弁会社 CAMI（カミ・オートモティブ・インク）社（カナダ、オンタリオ州インガソル）にて本年8月より開始する予定である。エンジンは、スズキの相良工場（静岡県牧之原市）で生産されるV6 3.6L、DOHCエンジンを搭載する。
Fine I'll translate it... The XL7 crosses over to a front-wheel-drive platform and offers a 3.6-liter V6. The engine produces 250 hp and is rated for better fuel economy, despite increased displacement over the old modelfs 2.7-liter. Power is through a five-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. All-wheel drive is available. Seating for seven is available too. Expect them by summer as well.

so, they took a full frame, rear wheel drive-based SUV and turned it into a tall car? why?

^ Geeds was right, its a Equinox/Torrent copy. It is under Theta platform.
From the 3, IMO this is the best looking. XL7>Torrent>Equinox. Then again, I think all 3 has pretty design.

it's the headlights i can't get past. eeeee, i just don't know it would look better if the blinkers were somewhere else.

I see a lot of Saturn Vue for sure.. It looks nice, but I agree about the headlights, just plain ugly!!
