i have an 06 outback with the projector headlights, they are pointed insanly low, and one is higher then the other making a weird z shape on the road, causing it to be extremely annoying, does ANYONE know how to adjust these lights, the adjustment screw is not obvious to me at all
Its not how fast your car goes....its how much nerve the driver has to push it that fast.

Picture above headlight assembly would help.
05/06 Legacy Tech Manual
This is a .rar file which contains the entire tech manual for a Legacy GT. Obviously some stuff will be different, but there is a section in there about Lighting where you will find all the info you need to know about headlights. From adjusting them (you can only do it in the vertical direction though, no horizontal) to the wire diagrams.
I can tell you its a screw just below and offset to the side from the black plastic cover where you would go to change the bulbs. It will probably be easier to tell from the manual / pictures contained. Good reference tool for lots of stuff....
suby man that is a huge bit of help, and i really appreciate it
here are some pictures but i have an idea that i have the right screw now, on a side note reading that manuel it seems that stupid z pattern is suppose to be there, who in their right mind would want that is beyond me
on a side note, do you know of any way to get the map lights in the front to come on when you open the door? its incredibly dark in the front as apposed to the back which is flooded with light
i got alot of design issues with this car, espeically the interior color lighting, gray and red? who the hell thought that up, my 2000 outback is a wonderful green color, and is very soothing, can't believe they changed it
well here are the pictures, i circled in red what i think the adjustment screw is

Hard to tell if thats the spot or not. I've changed the bulbs before on my GT and there is a black plastic cap which has to come off before you can get access to the spot. The screw should be more towards the middle of the car from that cap on either side.
The slight offset is supposed to be there. Its so cars passing by don't get the light right in their faces. This is consistent because on LHD vehicles the offset is opposite.
As for the maplight. I think if i remember correctly there were some people who had done that as well as some other options. Check out
LegacyGT.com for threads on that stuff and just about anything else you want.
Let some air out of the rear tires.
