I agree. Canada has a large market for small cars, and we get cars not sold in the US, so I don't knw why we don't have Scion. Maybe it's in the works.

I believe xA's and xB's are in Canada. The tC is not (suckstobeyou, I love mine ) due to the fact that it does not meet Canada'sr 5kmh front end crash test.

I was under the impression the only Scion car not for sale in Canada at the moment is the tC. There are processes in place to change this so that all Scions will be legal in Canada, but don't expect them until at least 2008.

Granted, my info is coming from Scionlife and not personal experience.

Scion's can be ordered through any Toyota Dealer in North America, however, be prepared to pay a premium for them in Canada because they're not in the regular compliment of cars available.

The Scion Xa and Xb are legal to license in Canada. They can be imported as new or used without supplimental inspections.

The Scion tC cannot currently be imported because the front and rear bumpers are not 5mph compliant, and the Child restraints are not compliant. I haven't heard of the DRL issue, but it's easy enough to remedy if that was the only issue.

There is a rolling 15 year window for exemptions, so in 2021, they can be legally purchased and licensed without incident, but at that time, it remains to be seen how bio-degradable the technology will be anyhow.

In 12 years' time though, I don't plan on importing a niddly little subcompact attempt at cool... GTO baby..

LowFire: SILENCE FROM THE PEANUT GALLERY!!!

Yeah, I know it. If the new GTO/Camaro or whatever platform gets 5mph bumpers and all that Jazz, I'll buy one if I have the cash. I'm already budgeting for a G35... I figure 2 summer cars won't be TOO much to handle.

BTW, I took the GTO out for a spin... nicked up the left rear rim something awful... my bad.
