I got a friend who can get some nitrous crap...40 shot of nitrous? just wondering what that shot would do to and for his 1980 1.8 toyota corolla........... or just for craps and giggles what it would do if he put it in his 3.0 duretech..its in a 1999 taurus?? Im a j-body person, dont worry, i just wanna know so i can laugh at him when he blows it up...let me know...thanks guys

hmm...well, if he does it RIGHT, he won't blow the car. it'll give a little kick. is he on the corolla forums? if not - send him to www.vvt-i.net or www.vvti.net (two different sites). they'll educate him further.
and yes, i'm serious. you shouldn't laugh at people who want to increase their vehicle's performance, no matter what the car may be.

he finally posted it here, and there's probably 2 people who might be able to answer the question based on the motor size...he WOULD be better off going to the forums i mentioned, because a few of those people have put nitrous on their cars. hell, i was considering a small shot as well.

As long as it's tuned right a 40 shot will probably run forever on almost any motor.
I almost bought a Taurus - thankfull I didn't - and when I was researching apparently those engines take nitrous fairly well. On a 1980 Toyota my concern would be the age of the engine and what condition it is in, but do some research and it could be cool.
I was happy when I heard my car ran 10s. Then I found out that was 0-60.
