Maybe this is old news... but i think it deserves a re- posting...

saw it in person at carlisle GM Nats last year. it is SICK in person.
730 hp @ 5800 rpm, 13.5 psi boost.
bet he could get more out of it.

and you could have done it with one or two good sized turbos maybe at a little bit higher boost..... the fab is awesome and its definitely different, but yeah, useless lol

Its only ment as a show car. kinda one of those things where your sitting around drinking with your buddies and go " I wonder if we could put 8 turbos on my old car"
I think its a bar bet gone horribly wrong.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

^^Like he said, it is cool, but it serves no purpose other than to say I have eight turbochargers.

Yup.
Just proof it can be done is all.

Sounds like this....when it had the LS1...
Currently under the knife. Transplant surgery.
ill guess with out looking
its a bright red 57 chevy
its been posted along time ago
imagine how that thing sounds
I saw that on tv about 6months ago, custom work very impressive. But other than that not impressive at all. 750 hp from a v8 engine with 8 turbos........ yippy (sarcasm). He could have dropped in the ZZ 572 / 720R crate engine from chevy and got 720hp, 685 trq for thousands less.
I personally think that 720hp from a N/A engine is more impressive than 750 from a 8 turbos car. Even if it had 1,000hp, ive seen supras with those number with 6 less.
Custom work is great tho.
I'm sure if it was physically possible and he had all 8 turbo's spooling at maximum boost he'd be well into the 2k hp mark
anyone else in this thread realize more turbos doesn't equal more horsepower??
All the fastest turbo cars all run a single turbo.
Obviously a bad ass show car and a bragging rights thing but damn that car looks impressive. I can't imagine the money and custom work put into something like that. Beautiful

not a 56The smiley with the tonguw sticking out was meant for that to be taken as sarcasm, but I know the JBO crowd are quick to be the executioner.

twin turbo setups are due to having 2 exhaust manifolds(v6, v8, etc)....that single turbo is a BIG turbo. Its all about the cfms....the more cfms, the more power you will make.
Got an example, my buddy has a turbo teg, started with a t3 super 60 trim turbo at 10 psi, he now got a t3/t40E 63 trim i believe, 60exhaust, 63 comp, stage 5 wheel. Same psi, one hell of a difference.

His fab work is impressive. I love how he rerouted everything. example:
@!#$ ya, hes good and thats a nice LS1
its old
but thats the first time i think ive seen someone say it was octa-charged lol
and some of you i think are missing the point
if he wanted more power he would have done it differentyly
it was for show mostly, its obviously not a race ca, its a show car if you take half a second to look at how meticulously cleaned it is
therefore, 700+ horses is enough for something that is probably not driven that often, if at all

I htink your wrong... I've never seen a twin turbo supra but down numbers that high.... all the big power supras run a single turbo not 2
Darkstars I have an issue of Turbo magazine around here somewhere with a beautiful black supra on the front. The car put down 1078Hp i believe, not sure 100% on the exact number but it was with a twin turbo setup.
While that may be true there are a few supras with twin set ups running huge hp numbers. they are obviously not the stock twins though. It's just a double - single turbo- set up. It might reduce lag slightly but single is definitely the cheaper way to go.
