325i US vs Euro
Sunday, March 26, 2006 4:54 PM
I have a question and I can't seem to find it when I search. If I have to sell my camaro when I get to Germany then I'm going to buy a car to drive for a few years. I looked at the prices of some online and was having a friend in Germany help me out. Seems I can get a 1995/1996ish 325i for around 4-6 US dollars. Well my question is what are the difference between the US spec and the Euro spec 325's? HP rating/ 1/4 mile time on the Euro spec?

I don't know for certain, but nothing that I've read except for EU BMW's need higher octane.

Don't quote me on that. German sale BMW's are pretty much the same as the American ones.

most likely very little
the biggest difference I noticed in euro bimmers is more
people friendly options. The smallest engine config on the
e36 stateside was the 318 (1.8 or 1.9L 4cyl), but the euro
versions were available in 316 and diesel configurations.
Cloth seats, more stripped down versions, etc... can be
had in europe as well.

Im new to the bmw world, but i just bought a 325i. I know some of the differences are the headlights have the glass, instead of plastic. They come with different things standard, and i believe some models are more stripped down to be more affordable. Im not sure about if this is the 3 series but i saw somewhere they use led tallights, I believe they have city lights, and a rear foglight. But im not positive, im just writing what ive read. But if your going to get into bmws id suggest that you check a few places out dtmpower.net maxbimmer.com and bimmerforums.com also the waterpumps are notrorious for going out because theyhave plastic impellers, but i doubt youll have a problem because of the age and price. But if not positive its worth the 50 bucks.
