Background - My sister bought her jeep new in 2001. Its a Jeep grand cherokee laredo. It only has 32,000 miles on it as of today. The problem she is facing is that the transmission slips between 2nd and 3rd gear. We have taken it to the dealer/stealership and they say they "can't detect a problem." We set up another apointment for thursday and I am going with her. I have searched and see that its a common problem. Do you guys/gals have any tips on what I can say and do to make sure they fix the problem. She has extended warranty so she has to pay a $100 deductable for them to even look at it. I feel we are getting the run around. So if you guys/gals have any tips on what to do or any websites/sources that states the problem would be great as well. The jeep is in great shape never really driven as you can see.

Don't want to be a bearer of bad news but it sound like another dodge tranny gone bad. Rams, dakotas, durango's and cherokees are known for bad trannys. Too bad it had to be with such low miles. Hopefully you find out it's something else somehow but i'd say replace/rebuild it.
Those jeep transmissions last quite a while.
Check out the forums.
Jeepforums.com is your best bet..but jeepsunlimited.com are good as well...

MS Walk April 21 - thanks to those of you who have supported me!
What kind of transmission is it? I would check the fluid level to make sure it is where it should be. Does is slip when you are running it cold or when it is warmed up? Stealerships suck when it comes to honoroing warrenties, especially if it ends up being replacing a transmission.
I would jump on Jeepforum.com and search in the Grand Cherokee forum for transmission problems, there are a good bit of threads discussing about them.
Good luck and keep us posted on the outcome.
Have a good one,
Justin
Thanks to everyone I will search and keep everyone posted. Hopefully I can come back with some good news.

And everyone is correct. Low fluid is more than likely the problem. Could be a bad transmission but commonly filling the fluid back up takes care of it.
My gf's parent's '99 Grand Cherokee does the same thing. They've had it in the shop more than once and nobody can figure it out.

They cant find the problem even after diagnostics? Intresting. How about you leave it with them for a couple of days, tell them to drive it now and then ... they MIGHT see the problem then. Just a thought though.
