Toyota prices limited-production Scion tC at $18,800. The price includes a $540 shipping charge.
Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. will price its limited-production Scion tC Release Series 2.0 at $18,800, including shipping charges, when it arrives in showrooms in mid-April.
Toyota is building 2,600 units. The car costs $1,960 more than a base Scion tC.
The Release Series comes with a stainless steel mesh front grille and 17-inch alloy wheels. The car also comes with standard front-seat-mounted side airbags and front and rear side curtain airbags, which are a factory option on the regular version of the tC.
The interior has seats trimmed with a suedelike material often found in luxury and racing vehicles. It also comes with an XM Satellite Radio receiver and a three-month subscription.

now thats some @!#$ right there!
i like the color and wheels better this time around
sorry nautica
Kiss my ass
Red is my favorite color, my last three cars have been that color
mmmm, i love the blue. They should of kept the older style wheels though with that gunmetal finish.
Have a good one,
Justin
I'll be putting some thought into trading in if I can find a dealer who will let me do so without trying to rape me on charges.
Quote:
RS 2.0 details:
$1960 + vehicle cost
Blue Blitz Mica Exterior,
RS Stainless Steel Mesh Grill,
17" x 7.0" Alloy Wheels with Satin Finish,
Alcantara Seats,
Pioneer Premium Audio with iPOD capability,
Pioneer Subwoofer,
XM Satellite Radio with 3 months of free service (available only in the 48 US Contiguous States),
Driver and Front Passenger Seat-Bolster Side Impact Airbags and Overhead Front and Rear Side Curtain Airbags,
Individually Numbered tC Release Series Badging
I'd pay the extra $1960 for the color, CD player, side air bags, and seats alone. The Airbags are around $600 and seats I would imagine $1200-1400 (the leather upgrade costs $1400 from the dealer), the Ipod upgrade is like $250. IMO, not a bad pacakage at all. The only thing I wonder about is the wheels. Rumors are they are just stock style (albeit stock is pretty damn nice
) that have a satin finish.
That's a fair price for a great automobile, can't wait to see pics of the blue.
I thought mine was a good deal at 19,500 but the scion TC 2.0 is over a grand less. They just need a bit more power the looks and finish are already there.
Obviously not an actual picture, but here's a good idea:
And, if it is anything like their other paint colors, this thing will shine really nice. I love the way my Flint Mica looks in the right light. You can see hints of green, blue, yellow, purple, etc. It's really nice, but I had my heart set on a similar blue color as found on the Mazda 3i's.
Now THAT'S a nice blue. Bad @ss car!
yeah... gonna talk to the dealer this week when I get my first oil change

If you already own/paying to own a Scion TC, why would you trade it in for a Scion TC RS 2.0? I mean granted it's a beautiful car and it's a limited edition but just seems to me to be like money wasted (especially if you are looking at a significant upside down debt) just so you can own a special edition. It would be like someone buying a LT Cobalt coupe (or whatever car you want to use), then 3 short months later turning around and saying they want a SS Supercharged coupe (or whatever car you want to use) instead. However, if you like the RS 2.0 that much, and there's nothing stopping you, I say go for it.
Used tC's are selling for more than new ones on some occasions around here. The one I test drove was a 2005 with 17 K miles ($23K sticker, dealer said they'd probably take $19k). I paid less for my brand new 2006 with side airbags and the ipod compatible radio than they were going to settle for the one on the used lot (it's no longer there either).
I wont do it if it's going to mean I'm upside down in the loan more than I am (yeah, I kinda graduated with a finance degree, I know when not to buy into something just b/c it's pretty). However, as I said, if I can find a dealer to work with me on my terms, I'd go for it.
I like my red one way more now that i see the blue one
i think the blue is fricken hot ... just as nice as the red one
That is the first one I've seen. The blue has to much of a purplish hue on it for my taste. Maybe in reality and in daylight it is different.
But I like the red better. I am just a sucker for it anyways.
Beautiful car overall!

sorry, premature posting
(shame the edit button doesn't really work)
I think the color will look much better in person. Actually, the person that posted those pictures on Scionlife even said that much.
I think the package is put together nicely, but I dont see myself trading in like I originally intended to. I do still wish I would have waited to get this though.
