i didn't know Honda's had low end torque, i actually didn't think they had any torque at all lol.
I know its fun to joke about it now but the only thing worse than loosing to a cavalier is loosing to a honda.

ok, so i see why there outboard motors work but what about the cars?
j/k lol
very interesting vid but i already knew what vtec was but i guess i just learned how it works too.
People say that what doesn't kill you in this life
will make you stronger. I'm not sure if that is true
or not, but i do know one thing-You have to learn from
it and it has to make you better.......it has to.......
too bad that that will be completly gone when they get rid of cams completely for cylanoid controlled valves.
Also there are some newer cams that change the lobe on the actual cam when they recieve current. The games always changing.

Um...
Huh?! Solenoid controller valves? Is this from the crazy minds that invented the flux capacitor and solar death ray or is this the real deal?
Be kind to dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
No, its actually the real deal. Nothing on the road yet, but in development. And a lot more believable than a flux capacitor.
BTW the solar death ray is real too....
Solar Death Ray LIVES!

It's true..
clicky
Right near the botom of the page..

Several engine manufacturers are experimenting with systems that would allow infinite variability in valve timing. For example, imagine that each valve had a solenoid on it that could open and close the valve under computer control rather than relying on a camshaft. With this type of system, you would get maximum engine performance at every rpm range. Something to look forward to in the future...

Interesting now I know more about hondas than most honda owners.
I knew what vetec was but never really knew how it actually changed the timing that made it very clear thanks.
Jabbles
I just bought an electric motor for my RC car. It has VTEC. I'm not kidding either.

I thought some diesels already had solenoid controlled valves? I could be way off though.
