New car: worth it?
Monday, March 06, 2006 4:45 PM
I found a Saturn Ion SC 5 speed w/ turbo for sale here in town and was wondering... is it worth the $4200 he's selling it for? I'm thinkin yes, but the guy's blown the transmission so many times.

Depends on year, milage and condition.

I thought SC was a model of the ION, it's an SC, he's got a ton of mods done to it

the ad's gone but off the top of my head he's got a new trans in it again, brand new turbo (not sure what kind), CAI, and the motor looks like it was kept very well.

whos that? I dont remember sayin anything about importing RX-8's from japan...

Anyway its a 92, but because he kept blowing holes in the trans, I probably wouldnt take it anyway. He used to work with me but found a new job, looks really good, CLAIMS it was dyno'd at 240+ hp.

ION's didn't come out till recently.

Apparently we were wrong. The person who made the Japanese V6 RX8 post was "The Underdog", username alejandroscar. This guy never even posted in that thread, mainly just about all his Camry problems. Sorry about jumping on you like that, I guess I forgot the name, and assumed the Go0o0ch knew what he was talking about. My bad.

But if The Underdog happens to be reading this thread:

lol arent RX-8s only equipped with like... a 1.2L or 1.4L rotary motor?
Re: New car: worth it?

1.3L(technically...they aren't measured the same way) rotary.

some idiot was trying to say he was importing a turbo V6 RX8 from Japan...and he swore it was "totally stock."

so should I even trust this car? he wants to run nitrous on it, the turbo's not installed, and neither is the nitrous. this is probably his 4th or 5th trans in it.
