Promising information gleaned from the SSC Aero SC/8T’s press materials indicates the company owner’s last name is Shelby, and that the SSC design team set about with two goals in mind: to challenge the production car speed record set by the McLaren F1, with a car that can comfortably accommodate a man (or woman, as the case may be) up to 6’6” and 300lbs. While this Shelby is unrelated to the famous Carroll, and the Bugatti Veyron has since upped the ante on production-car speed records, NFL linemen, at least, won’t have to give up 72-oz steaks to satisfy their xxxl-sized speedlust.
The Aero sports an all-aluminum, supercharged V8 generating 908hp — as well as a bird-like curb weight of 2,720 lbs. (That’s a weight-to-horsepower ratio of 2.99.) It’s done the zero-to-60 in under three seconds, and the quarter mile in 10.44. With aerodynamics testing having indicated the car could likely hit 250mph, putting it in range of the speed record.
looks like the stole the styling from every super car that exists....personally i think it looks like poop. but if it goes 250MPH then that almost makes up for it.
also, are those ford focus headlights, cause id almost swear they were
damn a hobo could climb in and sleep in those side inlets! it looks pretty nice to me and it can move too
Looks like the car from Ridge-RacerV.
tjose are some nasty nice headers
there are two versions,...
$395,000 & 495,000 US
they're made in the US too......
Gotta respect the performance of a machine like that, but it is one of the uglier supercars I have ever seen...
For that kinda money the car has to have everything, including looks. Kinda has a dated feel with the exterior. Sorta early 90's Lambo...
