Hey my friend has a 91 Eagle Talon TSI and he wants to get a BOV for it but he has a stock one does he really need one because i have been lookin at pictures and it looks like they just took off the one hose and put a plug into it? When we tried this the motor idled really bad i dont see how the car could do that?
yes you can do that. the car runs rich well in my case mine does. you can also when you pull the tube and plug it adjust the idle screw on the intake mani and it will make it better sometimes. my talon got used to running like that and now its fine.
DSM's run a recirculating BOV.....it's actually programmed into the computer to anticipate the extra airflow from the BOV and adjusts fuel accordingly. There's a mod you can do with the MAF etc etc..but most people have better luck with keeping weith the recirc system. I know the Greddy Type S BOV has an adapter so you can have it vent the the atmosphere or keep the recirculating system. I definitely recommend the latter

im a @!#$ pussy ass liar! i lied to my girlfriend over and over, sat around with her friends naked and stayed home downloading porn...she loved me and i hurt her...i deserve to be alone and unhappy...no wonder every girl i try to love leaves me...i suck.
The only way to get rid of it without messing things up is to convert to speed density. Believe me, I went through the same thing. It won't really do any good to remove the recirc. because every time the BOV dumps excess pressure, the ECU will adjust the fuel curve. If that air isn't recirculated, the engine will run rich and cause the engine to run rough.

Huh. I've read that before, but I wouldn't say it's a guarantee. Most of us in the VR4 club have found it's best to either recirc even on an aftermarket BOV, or go speed density. I know on my car I didnt recirc. and I messed with the spring until I was ready to drive the car off a cliff and no gain. But as soon as I went to speed density I had no more issues.

i had mine blowing off into the atmosphere (RFL BOV) with absolutly no problems...
You're the only one then...
