Paint looks nice but not on a near stock Scion. Youd expect to see paint like that on a stricltly showcar.
All I can say is someone dumped alot of money into that paintjob.
Well, if YOU like it, maybe try to talk them down a bit.
A tC is a great car though. With some work, that thing coould be badass
yeah knock down a grand or two and tell them thats so you can repaint it
The above is proof that something can be high quality without being beautiful. That detail work is amazing, but IMO, it's horridly ugly. No way in hell would I ever drive/own that.
And most definitly don't pay a premium price for just the paintjob. Hell, don't pay a premium just because it's a tC. The first dealership I went to wanted $2000 ABOVE sticker for an '05 with 6000 miles. I quickly informed him I could walk inside, order a brand new car for cheaper and to promptly self gratify his anal oriface.
Who knows if that custom paint will flake off faster than a bad Macco job...
For the what that sticker says in the window you can go by a new one for the same exact price and 0 miles.

True, but new car prices are pretty solid. Anyone have an estimate on how much would be reasonable to talk down? Few paint chips, and cracked pin stripes.
Most Id offer if i liked the paint would be like 14K tops. Start by maybe offering less and obviously theyll counter offer. When you talk them down id point out the fact that you dont know how the quality of the paint is and god knows what problems may show up down the road.

honestly, you might not get it down that much
youre better off getting a new one or looking for a better used one
I dont like it, the only reason I could see you buying it is if you REALLY like that paint job. But if you wanna pay $16,499 to get laughed while you drive around then go for it.

get rid of the flames on the hood and sides, and then extend that rear portion forward so that it crosses to like the front wheel and i think it would have been sick
Yeah, the paint job doesn't fit a stock tC...
As for the pricing, you can get a brand new one for fairly close to that price (you wont likely get it for that price though). A 2006 Manual with no options will run you about 16,700 without tax, tags, and dealer fees.
I just picked up a 2006 tC in December. I love the car, but I was running into the same issue where the used car prices were just as expensive, if not moreso, than a brand new one. Personally, I would rather have that extra 21,000 miles of warranty rather than that paint job. It's nice, but just out of place.
^^^I'm agreeing with Slug.
Thanks for the sig, Blakout.
I'm agreeing that you both are cry babies and probably homosexuals your self...or just not straight.
the car is ugly, over priced, and gay.....in the most homosexual way and obviously was in a stage of development to be transformed into a show car.....so why would someone trade in a brand new car with an extensive paint job on it???
Reposessed. which in my book means it was owned by an irresponsible person which would then get me to wondering what else did this person neglect on the car other than the payments.

That didnt even cross my mind but it makes sense

Apparently looking cool for a few months is a lot better than having a car for the full lease and having good credit
I love seeing stuff like that. Nice new escalade, big rims, stereo, living in some 200sq foot dump of a house.
