No offense to normal SRt owners, but it sounds like the typical ones around here. They fly around going like 65 on the streets, ride your ass, pass you in lanes that dont exist.
I have never, ONCE seen an SRT owner that obeyed traffic laws around here. I see one coming up behind me and automatically think "oh boy, time for another a-hole to ride my ass". And then they fly by and couldn't be more than 16 years old.
I appreciate a good fast car, but all the people who ride around in these things over here are shattering the image I have of that car.
But yeah, pretty funny stuff. Alot of SRT people from that site are always doing dumb things.

Theres two around our town. The one refuses to upgrade his looks wise and took his badges off. He doesnt want to attract any attention.
The other one is an ass hat, he was behind me in the drivethrough and kept going vrooooom!! Shoooosh! over and over...i was like yes we need to spool up our turbo while we are waitting for food...
Its like I've been saying all along.... performance shouldn't come as cheaply as it does in the SRT4, because what you get basically, is the worst breed of 17 year old .org newb suddenly strapped into a car with way more power than he knows how to handle, and no respect or appreciation for it because 9 times out of ten, mommy and/or daddy's money bought it.
I worked at a Dodge dealer for 3 years, 2 of which the SRT4 was out... In that time I worked on about 5 of them that were modified.... only 2 had engine mods that were executed cleanly and properly, and one of those was the one that I did the stage 2 upgrade on. The other three were all butchered beyond belief... and one, every time the kid came back in for service there was a new spot on the car where he'd hit something. First time he brought it in after buying it both wheels on the driver side were carved where he had hit a curb and they were so badly bent that it shook like the whole car was gonna come apart.
This same jackass later came back with an oil leak, because he had put a urethane motor mount insert in, and left the bolts loose that connected the lower mount to the block.... first time he launched it hard, the engine rocked and cracked the oil pan against the mount... then naturally the jackass wanted us to warranty it.... We told him to take his business elsewhere. Two months later, i was driving up route 9 to pick up a waterpump for the beetle in Piscataway, and this same asshat comes ripping up behind me, in the rain, weaving in and out of traffic, braking late, tailgating people....
Even at the track, its kind of rare to see a competent SRT4 driver.... I have seen a few, but they are the minority... The guys have awesome stock tires and an LSD, yet most of them can't cut better than a 2.3 sec. 60' time.... then they blame it on the tires. I laughed at one group right in front of them telling me their tires sucked... i was like, "you see my car? those are stock econo-tires, and an open diff.... I cut 2.0's all day, so whats your excuse now?"
Now before this starts a flame fest, I AM NOT saying that EVERY SRT4 driver is like that, i'm only saying that from the ones that I have met in person, or worked on their cars, the MAJORITY of those people don't belong in that car, because they're either too stupid, too immature, too irresponsible, or a combination of the three.

Yea, its pretty much the same around here. There is one guy though with a CF trunk and CF hood and the exhaust is re-done. I finally saw him at the track. He was running wrinkle walled slicks. I thought "hmm this should be interesting" that SOB pulled off something like a 12.2. He was a real cool guy too. That was one of the rare ones though.
SRT owners piss me off. They do the same by me. All 16-20 years old, and they all drive like assclowns. I was laughing this one time. I was at a Shell and I wanted to try their "V-Power" gas. I top off and this yellow SRT4 pulls up near me. This hot girl gets out, and then the driver . . . who looked like he wasn't a day over 12 gets out. I'm waiting at the drive way and he pulls up and he revs his engine, I look over and roll my eyes. Now going down the street, you can here this guy . . . He just couldn't shift. You seen his car jerking, you heard what sounded like grinding (not sure if it was), it rocked a few times. At the light he goes out his window and says "you think that thing is fast?!". I look over and go "no, not really, but atleast it knows how to shift properly." The guy got all pissed and went on his merry way, lol.
I would have respect for the SRT4, but its just like the Civic. Every 16-18 year old that has one, think they are street gods and drive like jerks.

this is very true. why give some one who just received their license a brand new car in the first place. not to mention, one with some type of power. i remember when i got my cav, that i was just looking for something decent for now. as long as it was in good shape i didnt really care if it was slow or whatever. but now kids need the brand new 300hp car so they could show off to everyone, but half the time they destroy the car because they have no idea what they are doing.

I woulda gotten my food, thrown it in reverse and shoved my exhaust pipe into his turbo! Our cars are worthless, we could pick up another one for a few hundred dollars
After reading about all the pricks that drive SRT-4's I am kind of happy that the guys that run them around my town aren't that bad. A lot of them are in the early to mid 20's and are just a good group to talk to.
I'm sure with me just writing that, there are going to be some ego driven drivers sprout up when spring / summer comes rolling back around.

Hahaha, i love tearing them a new one to with my little sentra (only raced a few really quick before my turbo bit the dust due to lack of maintnance from the previous owner). They all think they are the fastest thing on the street and not one of them will give up no matter how hard or fast i pull on them. Then once i slow down they usually continue on like hell is following them. I did talk to one guy with a SRT that was actually pretty cool to talk to but then again he was like 30ish.

there once was a kid who took his mom to a gas station that i was filling up at in his srt4.
he rolled up and i just looked over and checked out his car from a distance, not causing trouble/ like i wasnt staring at him, just glancing over from time to time.and for a few minutes he sat there revving it up and down, not too loud but i heard him and was confused. or maybe he had a messed up TPS,lol.
i respect them cars and really like them, but that dude with the bettle summed it up.
i raced a modded one b4 in my cav with out a few of my current mods and he was on stage 1 and turbo back exhaust and a intake and you should have seen the look when i said i was only running 5 psi.
. he was a cool guy.
i havent really ran into a punl kid driving one. i dont see many in my area. but i cant wait till i see one again this summer
here in fay-town, it was mostly gi's that had them first, then came alone the highschoolers. no one here really fixes up those kinds of cars, they get them stock and leaves them that way, thinking they'll only race other 4bangers with non-turbo and think they'll win everytime. some usually laughs at my cavailer.......then i'll throw a lil "laugh" back....
