well who knows whats under the hood. Stock they are kinda quick but nothing real special. If the have a nice little SR20 turbo swap like mine, they are capable of running a mid to low 13 second quarter mile depending on the boost and if they can get traction. At highway speeds my SE-R destroyed my fathers 350z, from a stop or a slow roll id be in big trouble thanks to tire spin in 1st-3rd.

I think he's talking about the 2002+ SE-r spec V. It has a QR25DE engine (2.5L) that is shared with the base altima. The engine is fairly reliable if you don't mod it and has goos low end TQ because of it's displacement. However IMHO it is not a good engine, especially if you go FI on it.
SER: 165hp
SER V: 175hp (less restrictive exhaust)
They run low 15's in the 1/4.

Personally i have a 03 spec v and mine has alot of mods to it and has never had a problem. I have cams, cold air, ground kit, apexi s-afc II, header, greddy evo2 catback and matching pipe from header to catback and someother stuff. The qr enigines are a priddy good motor. The people that have problems are the tards that try to boost (above 8 or 9 psi) it or run NOS through them (while using a bigger shot than like 50) with out building the bottom end. The bad part about them is the throw on the rods is very long. With a 400lbs system in it and me (290 lbs) I ran a 15.5 in the 1/4 cause my tranny was a little messed up. I have not got to run it since the mods but this spring i will

2003 SE-R SPEC V
Custom turbo kit with a t66 turbo @ 15psi, Apexi safc2, custom side exit exhuast, JWT cams, JWT bsr, inovate wideband system, CP 8:5/1 pistons, carrillo rods, comp clutch stage 4, hks catch can, 10k hids. And more to come

"With a 400lbs system in it and me (290 lbs) I ran a 15.5"

That will take care of the difference.
