Ok so tonight at about 2 in the morning I get a call .
"Petty officer Shumaker?"
"Yea?"(half asleep)
"Could you please report to the quarterdeck, a tree fell on your car, we need insurance info"

So I flip out and get dressed. I get to the quarterdeck to see an NSA police Lt standing there . He tells me to come outside and check out the damage. It looks like I'm going to need a new trunk, but I consider myself lucky. A few inches to the right and it would've got my back glass and right quarter also. On to the pics:





On a side note the base is paying for nothing and my insurance will have to cover it.

Oh yea you can't see in the pics, but the tree is about 40 feet tall and extremely skinny. It was uprooted completely by the strong wind in the area tonight.

That is why I never park anywere close to trees during a long period. Im glad nobody got hurt and I hope you are able to resolve everything quickly and get it back on the road.

Doesn't look to bad. Hope every thing goes smooth with the repairs.

I got the estimate on repairs today and it was 1400$. Now to find a body shop...
