2007 Nissan Sentra

First Civic now Sentra, who would've thought that car companies would be copying Saturn Ion's design, right?
But yes, it does have a mini-Maxima look to it too.

Sentra grows larger this fall for the 2007 model year and moves to a global platform shared with alliance partner Renault SA. Under the hood is the first North American application of Nissan's "MR" series of four-cylinder engine. The Sentra gets a 2.0-liter version. That engine will be mated to a continuously variable transmission or a five-speed manual transmission. The rear seats fold flat to expand trunk storage space. A high-performance SE-R version will debut in early 2007.

The 3/4 shot reminded me of the Ford Fusion but I definitely see the Maxima similarities. Not feeling it either.

Have a good one,
Justin

Lazy-ass designers: we need a new sentra, boys.
One designer (Bill): i know, let's copy one of our own cars only make it smaller.
Good thinking Bill, let's call it a day.

I like it ok, even though it resembles a corrola. I'll reserve judgement until I see the SE-R.

Well, concept as of today but expect something like this in the near future (Nissan Azeal). As for the hatch, hold on to that.

Nissan wrote:
The Nissan AZEAL Coupe Concept is a fresh interpretation of the classic sports coupe. The essence of the AZEAL is its clean, straightforward, agile exterior combined with a modern, driver-oriented, highly interactive interior.
AZEAL features an aggressive body design with wide fender flares, short overhangs and a sharply sloped rear roofline with integrated active airfoil. The interior combines a dark, industrial metallic instrument panel appearance contrasted by Wasabi Chartreuse fabric seats and an open greenhouse with glass-panel roof.
The AZEAL design exercise is the first concept car created by Nissan Design America’s (NDA) new studio in Farmington Hills, Mich.
“The idea behind the AZEAL is that an entry-level vehicle doesn’t have to look entry-level. Though AZEAL has the compact dimensions of a small coupe, it projects a much larger presence in terms of style, personality and desirability,” said Bruce Campbell, vice president, design, NDA.
The front-wheel drive AZEAL utilizes a turbocharged version of Nissan’s 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. It rides on 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with a unique sandblasted and painted surface treatment.

Um that "crappy" suzuki happens to be a top notch car....just ugly as sin. don't confuse ugly as crappy. because the reality is j-bodies are in fact crappy... but, they look good.

this design is starting to grow on me, i'll hold judgement till i see one in person...or at least lowered a bit with wheels. the first time i saw a Scion xA and xB i was horrified, after seeing a few fixed up they didn't look so bad.

^ ^ you were holding out on us.
I want that, i love the lines. I could deal with a different engine though, that QR25DE is crap IMHO, i can't imagine it boosted.

They real need to get a different corporate grille though. It's as though the mustache design was inspired b a certain genecidal maniac.

Do you see the resemblence?

well thats what i meant by crappy. . the outside sucks. i have no idea about the engine or anything like that but the styling is horrible. that little 2- door on the other hand is really nice. i wouldnt mind one of those, even if it does look alot like a tC. the tails llok like the new civic tho
