Plan to run 33s after I get some more money aka get rid of the cav!
civic should be sold tomorrow!
And Borsty just for you:
Mr father helped me out with this one! He gave me about $1,500 for it, and helped me out with a load from him until the civic is sold!
your selling that civic now?
didnt you jus...... nevermind.

Not practical, not too big on "race" scene. Ended up getting an offer that I wont loose anything on it, so I decided too. Plus this Jeep just feel in my hands with perfect timing!
well at least its a domestic instead of that jap trash. good for you.

i like the wheels on it, but i like the black ones better if the center cap is silver/chrome
i dunno why, but the wheels on it now seem out of place on a jeep, not that they look bad, but they look more car-like
and itll look great with a lift

Exactly! I like the Jeep alot better too!

Well sorry but no chrome of shiney stuff on this rig! When I get me light tomorrow (chrome, but free!!!) I am painting them and the head light bezels black. Just can't stand chrome on a Jeep!
well just the center cap is what i meant, to offset the black a bit
I like the color man. Have fun in the truck scene or w/e.

Nice TJ dude, you need to put some Big Boy tires on there now, 35x12.50s sound just about right.
Yella02-I promise I will return to you in one piece and this will stay up until I am safely home
Ugh , you stink . You had two beautiful cars, and you get rid of them for that thing .
Sorry im not a fan of jeep's but i loved the cavi and the civic.
just don't do big tires with no lift or just 2 inches...that's total trail rice. do it right lift and tires at the same time. big tires cramed into the stock jeep is gay. no articulation means no suspension flex...and that means your a fake off roader.

first for trail rice as well ?
But anyways the purpose of the TJ is to take it off road, thus tire size will depend on lift. Thus me picking up suspension parts today, and don't even have tires yet....
.
Everyone else; thanks for the comments. I personally love the Jeep. I will miss the civic, maybe even the cavalier
But I have always wanted one and cait wait for the summer to drive topless and doorless!
The new TJ looks great man. I really like that red and I think the black wheels will go well with it, but I am just bias. lol. Taking those bumperettes off the front give it a more agressive look but I am not too sure on the rear. I think I would leave them on. It looks like it is out in the open to get hit and dent up your quarters.
I really think you can get away with running a 32x11.50 tire on a 2 inch lift with wheels that have 4" backspacing. I would not rub at full turn and when I would disconnect the fenders would rarely get torn up.
Anyways, Jeep is looking good man. Can't wait to see some more progress on it.
Have a good one,
Justin
lol
you like that rail rice huh? I've off roaded with a group of off road enthusiast in southern california called the
Dirt Devils and a few of the senior members coined that phrase. it's when a new jeep owner buys his first jeep and leaves the dealer and drives directly over to the nearest tire shop and slaps 33's on...no lift, just because to own a proper jeep you gotta have the big tires. So they drive around with these humungus tires squeesed under the fenders with a quater inch of wheel gap from tire to fender and the think their off roaders.
till the first time they go out on a real trail and the axles flex just a little and the tire rips up their fender or the fender rips up the tire...or worse they can't trail because the tire just gets jammed to far up and can't move.
So just like a honda kid that slaps a big fart can and huge wing on his civic thinks he's now a racer, thus causeing true tuners to call him a ricer. Putting 33's on a stock jeep is the exactly the same thing to off-roaders.
trail rice. i thought it was hilarious.

32x11.50 on 2 inches....easy and would look alot better the 31's look too skinny. i also forgot to ask did you get the woofer armrest? if you didn't...get it. after being in my friends with it i'm convinced no jeep should be with out it.

damn, here i was hoping to see an actual Ferrari (the sports car)...
oh well, have fun with the jeep.
sad thing is the civic would probably last alot longer
My sister had one of those, it lasted her a long time w/ very minor problems. She also had the Wrangler Sport, but she also had a Hard Top and a Soft Top. She liked it really well, because it was the only thing at that time that could be 4x4 and be a vert, and it was a 5 or 6 speed manual.

I hope its a 4.0, if so those are beasts. Nice truck, i want one but can't right now. 31's are great, i hope to get a set of BFG at K/O's in a couple weeks, seem to be the best thing out there. Have fun with it. I am sad to see its an auto though
