looks liek another W12 Phaeton, A8L, 750IL, competitor... I liek it alot though, I think I'd still stick with the BMW though

8 speed? Isn't that just slight overkill?

And the power output is slightly disappointing; hell, GM squeezes north of 325 from a 4.6L, and I'm beginning to wonder if GM engineers could crap bricks if they swallowed cement. Overall, looks like a big technology showcase rather than a car. BMW 750 > that.

that is amazing looking. the interior i think is nicer than the current 7 series or s-class. i would drive that in a heartbeat

I like it a lot!
but Id rather ahve the 7 series as well

i think the power and tranny combo is pretty damn good
0-60 in under 6 seconds in a car that i am sure is heavy with all the crap in it
plus mpg in the 20's?
gm engineers dont get that gas mileage
i would take this car over a 750 easy
of course, id like to be a passenger in it sometimes too

Someone has got to explain the "autopark" feature......that sounds interesting.....

tail lights look like the 7 series' tailights. look at the side profile picture

Ya...8 speed tranny is not new news on the JBO.

The direct competition to this will be the M-B S550, BMW 7 series, Jaguar XJ, Audi A8, Infinty Q45 and Maserati Quatroporte.

Lexus > those mentioned^
Plainy put... Sophistication, engineering and something very import that the other don't have and Lexus does....quality and reliabilty.

IMO this generation's design Lexus has been my favorite and trumps the others in design, especially the hideous current 7-series.

Take note: Direct injection. It is the future. It worked wonders on the on the IS 350/LS460, Audi, Isuzu Rodeo and it gave a nice healthy jump on the Solstice's Turbo, compared to the Ecotec on the Saab.

If I craped money and was old, I'd jump on this.

You are quite possibly looking at the best sedan ever built.

Ever.

Even though that comment may sound like an opinion, but I truly believe it is a fact.

There's so much room in that back seat, you could have an orgy.

The exterior of the car isn't doing it for me, but I am digging the interior a lot an the tech specs.

Have a good one,
Justin

VW has the same thing on the new passat.... the car has to met certain requirements... the car no moving, vehicle in drive, seat belt on, and brakes aplied.... when all that is met (like sitting at a stop light) you can push the auto hold button and it electronically aplies the brakes for you so you don't have to hold the brakes. When you want to move again you can push the the button again, if your foot is on the brake again it will go back to regular driving, if your foot isn't on the brake auto hold will turn off but electronic parking break will turn on (which wont turn off unless your foot is on the breaks) but I believe (don't remeber for sure) that you can just hit the gas pedal while auto hold is on and it turns off and you accerarate.

Haha, dude, I thought the exact same thing when I read Darkstars description.

I was thinking of some cool actual auto park feature that parks the car for you.

Not a retarded "automatic brake hold" so you can rest your foot while waiting for a train to cross.

From Motortrend.com
and Toyota's Intelligent Parking System that'll parallel park the LS (but you have to keep your foot on the brake for it to work).

Geez do I have to explain everything.

Parking Assist relies on a built-in computer, steering sensor and a tiny camera in the car's rear and works like this:
A dashboard display shows the image taken by the camera. When you near a parking space and shift into reverse, computerized lines pop up on the display, along with arrows pointing up, down, left and right.
Using the arrows, you move the lines around until they define exactly where you want the car to be parked. Then you push the "set" button on the display.
Keep your foot lightly on the brake pedal, and the car will start backing up, the steering wheel responding to an invisible hand. Voila, the car will park itself in the spot you've chosen with the arrows.

Hell ya! Now that's what I'm talkin about........that's a definate "impress your g/f" thing while driving........ "Look baby, I'm parallel parking with no hands!"

I used to be able to wow my fiance with the remote start on my Cavy (I got it when really only "luxury" cars had it)......now I gotta find something else to wow her with.
