I Love the malibu MAXX, I wanna lease new MAXX SS when i pay off my cav. The gas milage is awesome and the handling and the power is just great. They really are nice looking cars. I would say that he won't be disapointed with one at all. They have alot of rear room as far as leg room and gargo area since it is a hatch.

Haha! I was just thinking about this
I saw a black SS Maxx with black wheels on it and nearly came in my pantalones. Very sweet car
My mom and sister both just bought maxx's they come with aweosme options for the base model. The ride is really rice and the car is roomy. I'm still not too impressed with the looks but the v6 has plenty of pickup. i'm considering the SS also if I don't get a truck so far I'd say get the car. my sister's was a demo vehicle with 1,000 miles on it and she got a killer deal great car he'd really enjoy it.
i saw one the other day and IMO, its fugly.

My dad has one that i might be getting when i get back from afghanistan. It the V6 and I love it. The pedals are freaky... its a button that adjust them.

Its kind of a dorky car.
But I like it

They would work out really well, my stepmom is a shorter person and she has them in her 05 malibu and they work awesome. Deff. a recomendation to get. I think they adjust a total of like 4 inches. From the front to the back. So even if you pops is a taller guy, he can still be cozy inside. I like the fact that they offer a factory remote starter also.

I love it.
If GM were to put the 6-speed from the GXP G6, it would be perfect for me.

i saw a laser blue ss sedan , and ss maxx side by side at the la auto show
i actually like the sedan better , it has a nicer rear spoiler

Hello again Mr. Goodwrench!
I'm in the same boat with you. My wife's Aztek has broken once too times for my liking so I'm pushing hard for either a Maxx or a G6 GT or GTP.
Where I live I can make a better deal on a G6 than a Maxx based on my initial inquiries, but that may change once I really get down to talking turkey with the (car dealer) sharks.
I really like the idea that a car that size has a hatchback, it really opens up the versatility of the car. I had a Dodge Lancer Turbo years ago with the hatchback and that was one of the handiest cars I've ever owned. But it would be sweet to put a 6 speed in the Maxx SS. Maybe I wouldn't be on the fence G6 GT vs. Maxx SS...

I like the Maxxes myself, even the older looking ones...
Not a fan of the SS...I'm not sure what to make of them yet...
Love the new chrome wheels on the LT's and LTZs...

Geo, good to read from you again haha.
Ya, I just love hatchbacks and this one just flat out looks good to me, wide with a long wheelbase. The car looks hunkered down.
I also like the Mazda 6 Hatchback too. Very sleek imo
Both I strongly believe are great products.

The only thing that pisses me off about the adjustable pedals is that you can only adjust them while in park.
Also when filling up the gas tank the filler gun will click saying "full", check gauge says "full", drive a little bit and the gauge will drop a some.
I honestly dont like the looks..... looks like a 2005 station wagon.
great family car though.
my neighbors just bought a silver SS maxx.....it's kinda bad ass looking
never drove it but ive herd there awsome cars

It's called a safety issue.
Funny how that's pretty much the only car I have driven that has that safety feature. All Fords don't have that neither does the H2.
we just picked up a white malibu maxx today and i like it alot. it rides nice and has alot of room in it. its the LE V6 3.5
IMO I didn't like it. My father in law had one for a rental. I believe it had a 3400 in it, not to sure. NE ways, the throttle response was HORRIBLE. Not that he would be racing it or anything, but just trying to keep a constant speed was a chore. I'm not sure if it's the gearing or the throttle system, but either you are speeding up or slowing down...
Maybe it was just a fluke with the perticular car he was given. Only had 4,800 miles on it...
It was a rental too. Who knows what was done to it...
