EDAG Engineering has developed a unique removable hardtop for the Pontiac Solstice that transforms the roadster into a sport wagon. Inspired by the Pontiac Safari station wagons of the 1950s and 1960s, the hardtop will premier at the Detroit auto show this month. The kit also includes a new boot flap. More images after the jump…

nah it was a corvette with something much like this on it i think

there was vettes and camaro/firebirds with them they called them kambacks

they looked similar to the vega wagons , which were called kambacks
