Hey so I have a chance at buying a 4door Saturn 1993. It has 128,000 miles on it 5spd. All the work has been done at my best friends shop so he looked up the history and all it has is oil changes, tires, brake drums, alternator, starter, battery. Nothing major.
The lady said she would take 200 bucks but I may be able to get it lower. The inside needs cleaned and the engine bay but, she has to find the key so I can hear how it sounds starting up.
So I'm gonna wait to hear and drive it and maybe get it.
What do you guys think? Good deal?

$200 for a car? That's almost always a good deal; even if it turns out to be a total lemon two weeks later, you could probably make more than $200 just parting everything out.
Go for it dude. It's just sketchy that she can't find the key for it - I don't think it was stolen, I just wonder how she could lose the key.
Yea she bought it for her son a while ago...and she just bought him a new car....so he put the key somewhere and shes trying to figure out where it is...Yea I prolly could part it out for 200 at least lol

plus my friend rob had one and it had 270,000 miles on it before he lost his license and got rid of it.

$200 bucks you cant go wrong its a good way to keep miles off the jbody. Think about it. You can park anywhere.................and not have to worry about anything!

go with it. My GF has a 99saturn 4dr and loves it. not my cup of tea but she has had no problems with it yet.
The sohc 1.9 are oil burners but the dohc 1.9 arn't too bad. Make sure the tranny feels and sounds normal saturns are known for dumping the dif pin and wrecking the trany but you have likely herd that before. If it runs good though for 200 bucks what are you waiting for grab it up seems like a good deal saturns age a little better than other cars because of all the plastic in them.

I seen a turbo Saturn sedan vid on the Internet. It might be one of those found on there. I dunno.
My friend has a turbo 4 door. The thing is insane. It would be even crazier if he could get it to hook. He only ran a mid 13 with it but it was at almost 120mph. He spiked a dyno at 300hp and that was without the 125 shot.
Yea im still waiting for the lady to find the key lol.....I dunno maybe today I'll get it....
As far as modding it.....Right now I say I will NOT but who knows......if i get bored something might happen to it.

Well finally got to drive the car. It runs unbelievably good! Very smooth so I bought it...actually feel like I stole it from her lol......I'll have pics when I get time to take them...
