Curious to know as well........either the Colorado is heavily modified or the WRX driver needs to go to driving school. A stock WRX should run somewhere in the low 14s, with around a 6-second 0-60 time. I "think" the Colorado is around a 8 second 0-60 truck with a 16 second quarter mile time. These are off the top of my head, feel free to correct me.

A stock WRX will run mid to low 14's with a good driver. Mine ran 14.2 bonestock with slips to prove.

WRX's and even STi's are WAY to over rated... i am sorry but they are... i like them still and they are nice cars... they are just not as fast as people make them out to be...
look up dyno numbers for them.. you will find 185-190hp at the wheels for the WRX and only 240-250hp at the wheels for an STi... the thing that makes them seem so fast is how well they can launch.. but when your launching with 4 wheels its not that hard...Then you also have to look at how much they weigh... 3200lbs if i can remember right?

My buddy has a WRX with intake and full exhaust and when i supercharged my sunfire he wanted to race me... and i kept up dead even with him until the speed limiter kicked in, and i think we were both surprised (him a little more then me)... So really they aren't what people make them out to be

Not to say they cant be made quick... and very easily at that... but then so can any car with the right amount of money

"speed cost money, how fast can you afford to go?"

The First Twin Charged jbody
blue car (R.I.P) - 240whp @7psi..
silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno

That race shouldn't have happened that way. I've beaten every Colorado I've ever raced with my Cav. but I'm not about to think I can take out a WRX.

the sti and the wrx are to totally different cars under the skin. the sti is a poor pans super car. grip, adjustable center diff, lsd's and nice brakes, fun as he// to drive and great track day/autox car's. total package! needs about 75 more hp and konis, hps pads, alignment and it would be a weapon. overrated no! it is no straight line rocket.

see ya!

my colorado isnt slow but isnt fast but hey it's pretty damn good for a "regular" truck

Completly bone stock at the track with my crew cab auto i ran a 16.01 that isnt exactly slow for a truck (unless u get a lighting or syclone)

You sir, know not of what you speak.

14.1 in my old 03 rex with just a cat-back.

NOW, my knowledge on the colorado isnt very extensive, but that could have been an auto WRX.

and your car boosted beating your feinds rex with intake and exhaust......well he actually is hurting himself with that intake. first thing he should have done was better plumbing on his turbo...he is most likely leaning out his car.... colorados are kinda lame anyway.. a lot of chevettes can out run z06vettes but its still a chevette.

Yeah, just keep telling yourselves that. A WRX will chew up and spit out any 5-speed or auto colorado out right now. Either that guy couldn't drive, or it was an Impreza with a WRX hood. It may have been an Automatic...but i find it very hard to believe that an auto trans WRX would get walked and then passed by a Colorado. An auto robs cars of power....but NOT that much power.

The colorados arent as slow as you all would think. the reg cab, 5 speed, with 4.10s and a locker has broken into the 14's stock from what i have read on coloradofans.com. There is another guy running mid 12's on the bottle. that truck wasnt a 5 speed since crew cabs dont come in 5 speeds. I imagine what happened was it was a regular impreza with a hood.
