I have a friend that races an 88 escort at the local dirt track in the hobbystock class recently he had asked me about lowering springs and such for the car to help tune it for the corners, the guy who set it up last year happened to get into a conversation with me and i ran some ideas past him and he quickly informed me that the escort wagon and escort coupes have the same shocks/struts front and rear as each other, yet the station wagon springs are much stiffer than the coupes, how can they run stiffer springs with the same struts/shocks? hopefully someone knows or could offer up a part number.
