well traded in our mazda 3 for a new chevy hhr. has some things i dont like but seems to be an okay car/truck/suv/ptcruiser or whatever the heck u want to call it. had it for a month now and ive tinted the front windows. removed all the badging and pinstriping and dealers stickers, and got a billet grill and 2" drop springs on the way. i got the 2.4 motor with 171 hp.

I like them, they are somthing different and actually have alot of cool features on them. My girlfriend has Cruiser right now and we are planning on getting an HHR when we pay off her PT next year. We both work at a chevy dealer and we have seen alot of them come in, they are pretty popular. Looks sharp wih the mag wheels and the chrome trim. Nice HHR.

reason i swapped is ive got a baby boy now. and in the mazda wich was a 5 door. you had to push the passenger seat forward and u couldnt recline at all and was completly unconfortable to sit in. so much that my wife who is only 5'-6" was choosing to sit in the back seat versus being up front and uncomfortable. the mazda was a fun car to drive and other then that i liked it.

Its a chevy PT crusier... I hate my PT cruiser. But maybe you'll like the HHR. Hope you don't get any snow where you live. PT cruisers absolutly suck in snow deeper than 3 inches. Their front bumpers become snow plows and pull the car from side to side as you hit snow. Then they don't like to turn in corners in the snow either. Even with Brand new Goodyear Eagle One's on the car aswell. Good luck with the HHR
Excuse me for a second, im going to be very blunt here. What are the up's of owning one of those horid looking vehicles?
Not even fully loaded with rocket launchers would make me buy something that ugly. It's great that you need something bigger for a bigger family, but if your going to spend money, get something that looks better than that thing, and even a PT Cruser or Aztec would look better than that. No wonder GM is going downhill, the only good car they got out now is the Z06 and perhaps Cobalt.
