hey im not in a great situation here i have a 2004 pontiac grand am went to put a remote starter on it and sure as @!#$ couldn't by-pass the security system however only got as far as putting the wires in for the ignition harness.... well i put the wires in and i didn't have time to do anything else for the day and the problem with it lies in the fact that i have 2 codes tossing now and my gas tank after 20 seconds says its mt when i know its completely full this never happened until after i tried to install the remote starter..... well needless to say im scared to drive it ... i also during the process



disconnected the battery so fuses might be an issue there... so im not sure....every other gauge is reading correctly and no problem with the other stuff...


2 codes i need help with as far as diagnosing and figuring out how to check them and/or trying to clear them permanently.... the codes are P0449,P0452

things i've tried is resetting all the rcodes and o2 sensors and pressure sensors, fiddled around with the gas cap, NO SPARKS OCCURED DURING INSTALLATION OF REMOTE STARTER!...

PLEASE ANYONE I NEED YOUR HELP HERE!

Don;t you need a theftlock bypass, like the one dei make (model number 555 or something) to bypass gm's antitheft system?

yes and i did have that however im looking just to get the car running and saying screw the remote starter....

um then just disconnect the remote starter and put the wires back the way they are
that isnt rocket science
