What do you think is the most recognized vehicle word wide.
1) - VW Bettle
2) - Hummer
and honorable mentions to the Lambo countach, Ferrari testerossa, and jeep wrangler
discus
take the ferrari and lambo's off...80% of the world wont even know what kind of car it is..

prob the beatle it was nearly unchanged for half a century and sold all over the globe
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
i'd say jeep... from their army duties to modern day, the look hasn't changed all that much... and they've been all over the world...
Beetle they have been on sale since the 30's-40's all over the world. And barely changed at all.
95 Cobra
Check out my site
Corvette. I don't know of a car on more posters then the Vette. been around since
1953 and is still one of the most saught after cars around. Jeep's may be legendary
but the Corvette is Iconic.

corvette = overrated *IMO*
id say the beetle....VW at their best...lol
VW Beetle no doubt.
Sold all over the world. Has not been changed in years and just recently stopped being produced.
Next I would say is the Jeep. Not any specific Jeep eather. It would just be Jeep. You just know they are Jeeps. Not now with all the crap they are building now though.

x100, and I would like to add that first gen Mustangs are probably more recognized worldwide than Vette's (any gen).
First of all, I'd like to thank wesmanw02 for being such a Cobalt-nut-sucking tool.
Secondly, I'd like to thank Travis Kearny for being so entertaining.

VW beatle
Jeep
i also kind of want to say the ford mustang.
The Beetle may be all over the world but I would venture to guess that noone dreams about owning one some day. Sure Herbie is cool and all but hes no 1963 split rear window Sting Ray with a 425 hp 427 tri carbed big block with a 4 spd, Red with Red over black interior. Now THAT is a car.
True the First gen Mustangs are ok too.

VW Beetle and probably Mercedes sedans.

I would have to say the beetle. People in 3rd world countries probably never seen a vett or a stang. But I am most certain they have seen a beetle. Same said for a jeep.
Lets see... when I was about 6 or 7 years old, I'm always dreaming of one day owning a Ferrari. It's a dream car for most children. I remember jeeps from way back. I never really knew the vettes or the mustangs. I'd say in todays day and age, it'd be a Lamborghini as the most known car. However, if we're talking 1-2 generations ago, it'd probably be the vette, or the stang. It depends on what era, really.
Hummer = gay
unless its a H1

THE THING!!!!! come on now everyone would notice it when one would drive by lol
But to really be the world's most recognized car, it would be a car that if shown to a random group of people from around the worldlewould know it. I doubt a hig percentage of people would instantly know a VW Thing if they saw one. But the original Beetle would be recognized everywhere, since they were sold everywhere and produced without much change.
A lot of people in the world have probably never even heard of Ferrari, so I doubt it can be the most recognized car in the world.
