Why is it a waste? Nice car, nice engine. The man has no loyalities, but I think it's still cool.

thats for the F&F 3 movie
IMO i would have swaped a 5.0 or 4.7 w/ a sc and see what the potential was. Just trying to stay within the family!
stock '00 2200 cavy
That's different. I like the sleeper look.
Thats gotta be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen....
That would make a nice Bullit clone, but that motor and fart can is disgusting on a classic stang.
Yo I can't wait to swap an SR20 into my formula it'll be hawt!!
I was diggin' it until I saw the "fart can"
Not feeling the muffler on the back but interesting swap for a stang. Here is another Mustang guy that likes Nissans too.
Have a good one,
Justin
the silvia lights in that 1 dont look that bad

Too bad the front bumper does.
That's alright, I saw a 1930's Lincoln with a 5.7L Corvette motor in it. What's really worse, that the person did what they wanted with their car? Or that you'd probably do the same thing because you wanted to be different?

i would have dropped in a bigger v8 motor and certinaly not put that fart can on
That is just plain stupid, I am not a mustang fanatic, but that is insulting to the name. The car is an
AMERICAN icon, and should not be powered by anything but american drivetrains. Now don't think that I am just import bashing, because I know the potential of an RB26 motor, and I am quite familiar with Nissan's having owned a 12 second SR20-powered S14. It would have been better, although sacreligous, to put an LSx motor in the thing with a blower. That is just my opinion though, and everyone is entitled to their own, however it makes me sad to see so much potential go to waste.

LOL... I just gotta laugh at ^^^^ this kind of post... Someone getting all apoplectic about defiling an AMERICAN ICON (the Mustang was a secretary's car, revamped Falcon... coming from a guy that knows nothing about them at all... Carroll Shelby).
It's his car, it's his motor, and it's his decision (I'm assuming it's a He that did this, of course, it it's a female that did this, same thing goes). I remember the same guff when someone wanted to put a Sunfire front-end on a Cav.
Why not stick with a 351 Windsor or Cleveland motor in the car? Who cares! If someone wants to screw around with their ride, LET EM! The car is obviously NOT a restoration, and if the engine is out of the car, the owner obviously doesn't care if it's number matching. If you jump on this guy's back, then you might as well jump on every other person's back that owns a US federalised Lotus Elise, or Pontiac GTO because they defile the heiritage of the marque.
Give it a rest man... The swap was done well and with care obviously... If you don't have to drive it, why get all pissed about it?
If it's not network news, it's probably the truth getting out.

Man, has times changed! It used to be you to be that you'd yank the Nissan 6 cylinder out of a Z-car and drop a 5.0 litre Ford Mustang engine or 5.7 litre Chevy Engine in it and have a oriental Corvette of sorts. I never thought I'd see the day that a Nissan 4 cylinder engine would be dropped into a Ford Mustang. I know the SR20 is a popular install in the early Z-cars, but the only explanation I can come up with this is that the Mustang owner received the SR20 engine for cheap or free or maybe in trade and decided the old engine-less Mustang that was just sitting around could be driven again. I'm wondering if the Turbo charger was also received in trade too. Well, I doubt the local Mustang car club will let him participate!

Its not something I would have done but it looks as though he/she put alot of time and effort into the project and I give him/her respect for that.
Blown.
I couldnt quite read the letters/numbers stamped on the front of the valve cover. I saw the "twin cam" in the one picture and assumed it was a SR20. RB26, isnt that engine out of a Skyline?
