1. Direct Injection: I have been waiting for that technology ever since the the American version Ecotec ever came out. This is really something on my book. GM hurry with those figures.
2. Saab's 2.3L I-4 Ecopower: Damn those are impressive numbers for a Turbo I-4 let alone I-4 in general. Best of all, all using renewable fuel. Who said "green cars" are boring?

This tester was caught in Germany while doing laps on the Nürburgring. This is the performance version of Lutz’s first vision, the Pontiac Solstice. Most likely this Solstice will carry the GXP nomenclature behind its name. Power is expected to come from turbo charging the Ecotec four-cylinder. The stock engine makes 177 horsepower and we expect the blown version to make upwards of 325 horsepower. This is some serious power in this vehicles class, watch out Mazdaspeed.
325 horsepower HOLY CRAP put that bitch in the cobalt SS NOW

I would only hope. But I think 325HP is from with the 2005 SEMA Solstice. But it is certainly possible since it is Direct Injection.
In reality, it should have more than 210HP since GM is claiming "the most powerful production engine in the Ecotec family" and the Turbo "Global" Ecotec from the Saab is at 210HP.
I cross my fingers that it will reach 300+HP mark, so it can do battle with BMW's Z4 M roadster.

Cant wait
ill be there this year for sure.
wow is what i gotta say on the solstice gxp. i would of thought they would turn to the s/c side cause thats what pontiac normally does in terms of FI. with turbo, it'll have alot more potential and compete with other manufacturers.
i think all are good signs for GM....the newer models they have been coming out with are slowly gettin better
Holy damn that solstice is ugly... I just can't wait till the Sky comes out.
